Thanks all. Out of interest what formula do people use to translate flat marks to jump marks?

I think 2 miles might be a bit sharp for him but fingers crossed.

I take 40 lbs off the jumps rating Don as a general rule of thumb.

Funnily enough I came on to tip up another jumper whose on the flat today. Dell Arca runs at Sailsbury over an extended mile and 6 with what appears to be a very lenient mark. He's won on the flat before his jumping career and has Moore on his back. I took 7/2 but even at 5/2 I think he's probably thrown in. The ground is a slight concern and they're probably using this as prep for something else but at this mark I'd be surprised if they do t take advantage at least once or twice before whatever his big day is.

I always used 45lbs so either way he looks well in on paper although recent performances would be a leap of faith and also the fact hes been running over 3 miles would temper my enthusiam somewhat! Will share what im told if its of any interest.

Interestingly he's myracing.com's NAP of the day. The site has had 7 NAP's in a row.

It's been a bit quiet for a few days, hasn't it? More chat about golf than about horses...

Johnston's debut horses have been doing well, so I'm interested in Town Charter, 2.30 at Carlisle.
There might be some value in Edgar Balthazar in the 3.35 at Carlisle; it looks a competitive race, but at 20/1 I might have a try, since he drops in class here.

Another debut horse to take note of at Salisbury, perhaps; Eolian in the 2.10. Might have a dabble there.
Still at Salisbury, I wonder if Marmajuke Bay offers some value (3.45)? Stayed on strongly over the same distance in good to soft to win at Haydock LTO. It's a tough race however, small field and plenty of form on show, so maybe just watch and see.

Very interested in Dell'Arca, which you lads have already mentioned. (4.20 at Salisbury).

Will have a look at the evening cards whilst eating my sandwiches later.

    Good Luck.

Thats what I first thought Don to be homest, that 2m may be on the sharp side...Spencer no doubt going to break well and take a pull in behind to park him last...I'd be trying to get him settled in behind the lead and kick early, you know he will stay so getting him in front at the right time is key. C'mon Frank you owe the forum one!

Salisburys 2:10 maiden saw two catching my eye.

At a huge price, Crucial Moment 40/1 appealed e/w having disappointed and not seen since the Brocklesby, but is bred for softer conditions (by Pivotal out of a Cheveley Park Nayef mare) and is upped to the best part of 7f today having looked short of the requisite speed for a 5f Brocklesby.

The other one is the Hannon 'second string'- unraced grey son of Clodivil, whose progeny seem to like a little bit of soft underneath them. Stamina on the dam side but its high time Hannon started hitting the target with some juveniles and Geneva Connection is the name.

Thats the exact plan Humans... lets see if the man doing the steering does what hes told!

We are a bit concerned he will slop out of the stalls so he will then defo be anchored.

Diomed (Racing Post) also tipping Harry.
A chance is taken on HARRISTOWN, who could be on a fair mark for this first Flat run since 2013 if the pick of his hurdle form is anything to go by and the booking of Jamie Spencer takes the eye.
    Good Luck <ok>
