12:45 - I am happy to take on a long odds on favourite who has a hood and tongue tie. He could be a class above this lot, but those two letters (ht) put dread into my mind. Suggests a free going horse who has breathing issues, as such at 2/5 I have to take him on.

The one horse with form and without headgear or tongue ties is the Rebecca Menzies trained Start In Front, who I think has some very decent form from Wetherby. I don't think he is a world beater in any form, but at 5.7 on the exchange I think he can be one to back and then possibly lay at shorter in the run. He beat the Mccain third favourite at Wetherby and that horse has had wind op and now has an addition of a tongue tie. Another horse who has breathing issues!

The rest don't look of the 110+ class required, so I am happy to back at 5.7 with the option to save my stake at somewhere between 2.0 and 2.4.

One interesting runner at leicester cuthbert dibble who looks like the extra trip is needed , i backed it yesterday at better odds but 6/4 is iffy . Cuthbert has links to saddlers wells as does american sniper in the same race . More for future interest but i am sure they will be looking forward to this race .

Disappointing run by Learntalot at Lingfield yesterday. Cannot blame recent WS and application of tongue-tie, instead it was ihis woeful jumping early on. Really needs to brush-up on his hurdling, for sure.

Today will have a modest wager in the (15.00) at Ayr, where Dubai Days should go well.
6/1 (Unibet/BetVictor) best price at time of writing.

(19:30) Kempton - Oriental Art is upped in trip and could well run a good race over this 2m distance. Good young jockey, Callum Shepherd, on board for the David Simcock yard.
11/1 best price in most places at time of writing. E/W best option.

Good run up the rail from last place and led briefly, but did not see out the last furlong. Finished 6th. Certainly one for the notebook. Maybe 1-1/2 miles best trip?
