Cracking Grade 3 chase at Punchestown today with Hewick, Conflated, Minella Indo et al. Not sure who will be fully wound up or not, might be worth looking at recent Gowran Park form of Visionarian.
Well yesterday was a mixed day for the Skelton yard, they had drifters who ran ok, and then they had one that was strong in the market and won nicely. They are not firing on all cylinders but they still know when one is really well handicapped. Today is the curious case of the Kendricks... They have Tzarmix running the 5:03 at Wetherby, but without the aid of young Max. Instead Jonjo Jnr goes for the ride, where he also gets the leg up on the very well supported Jagwar in the Bobby Renton. On paper you would think Tzarmix has a bit to find, but he has been strong in the market, and he has shown enough in his last couple of races to suggest his turn may be near. Then you've got two Jonjo horses at Worcester, one with a 10lb claimer on (Kingsley) !! And who runs the syndicate for Start Again who runs in the same race? Full circle!
17:10 Worcester - Robber's Bridge A Class-5 Handicap Hurdle over 2m4f on soft ground. Has the form to run a decent race and should be suited by the distance and current track conditions. Up 6lbs after winning a C&D race 100-days ago. Has a decent chance of gaining a podium finish at least, if fully-fit after the break. James Best rides for the Simon Earle yard. 6/1 best price early-doors, freely.available on the ATR site.
