KUBLAI 2,40 Taunton 40/1 Not a bad race but this one could be a bit of value. We can make excuses for the three P's, didnt take to fences twice and too far back over hurdles recently. His mark is back down to his last winning rating of 115 although Alex Dunn is no Pip Hobbs. A first time tongue tie may eke out some improvement too and the return to a firmer surface will definitely help. Niggled by the trip maybe being a tad sharp but should be ok and decent jockey getting the leg up.
I think the bottom weight should piss this. And there are a few others also preferred. Kublai has no chance but should be watched to see if there is enough improvement to pick up a race in the near future. Too much on his plate in this race. If that isn't enough to make you lump on .............
