In the Chester Cup on Friday, 12.05.2023, have had a flutter already on Metier at 11/1. With the ground conditions likely to be soft at best, the Mastercraftsman gelding (Damsire: Authorised)) should run a decent race. Stoutly-bred, and almost certain to stay the distance. Saffie Osborne rides for the Harry Fry yard. When Attivo puts up the Friday DT, will double-check the prices. Meanwhile have Metier e/w at 11/1 (Coral/Ladbroke) (Prices from Oddschecker)
Savethelastdance goes to the head of the Oaks market. Okay, but the field went much too fast considering the going and save the winner and the 2nd the whole field was out on its feet.
Just seen the replay and I can't remember any horse pulling that far clear of its field up the short Chester straight. As you say, form to be taken with a pinch of salt but the lads will be shedding more tears at the demise of Galileo after his daughter (I think his penultimate 3YO crop??) goes and does that. Whoooooosh.
Kempton 700 Company minx 20/1 ew i could put a line through the whole lot and give numerous reasons so 20s looks very generous for company who won at c/d 2 runs ago
730 mogwai around 9/4 i did take bigger and was questioning weather to post , Mog is pretty quick and the races i have watched tends to run further than most but the finishing pace looks very good and may be one to look out for on a straight 8 in the future.
He’s got 88 foals of 2021 (2yos this year) and 12 foals of 2022 (yearlings this year), so his final 3yos will run in 2025 though obviously there is a lack of numbers. This is the final crop
