I just watched the Brighton/Chelsea game and the performance put on by our ex-player Webster was out of this world throughout the match. He scored on a thumping header from a corner to level it up and it seemed like he was involved in every play from front to back. How we miss a player of his intensity and ability to help us right now but we have to stay focused with what we've got unfortunately.

it is like the chicken and the egg .. end result is .was... we eventually made a profit.. but all the peeps aiding that profit players coaching staff and of course MA ARE NO LONGER HERE
EGG or CHICKEN ... would we have gotten top 6 a few times odd Wembley appearance HIGHER GATES .... attracted "higher paying sponsors" had we been able to stick with just half the players we sold? being one handed at mo I cant readily delve back into the " where were we in the league when we sold , and where were we 10 games later. ALSO had we stuck where might we finished..........
At the time we could maybe have sold the odd player for a few million that didnt unbalance the team .......like one on the edge not quite in squad regularly ...
 
I must say I always like to see our alumni doing well because it reflects on the facts that we can either produce classy players or sign them up but for some inexplicable reason they nearly all end up leaving. When I saw Webster's performance it made me wonder why we keep falling down the same cracks because if you ever wanted to build a solid squad then Adam would be first on the team sheet followed closely by Luke Ayling who looks the part for Leeds in his captaincy role. Despite all the badge thumping and circus tricks we never look like a team that know how to play as one like the musketeers and I can't remember when we were even close to seeing a fully on-board squad who enjoy playing as a group.

Perhaps we have reached the point of no return where unless we change our ways of thinking and not fall afoul of becoming a retirement home for gentlemen footballers past their sell by date combined with loanees who don't want to be here then we will end up at the same place as always. The fine line between doing it right for a serious challenge or miring in the muck where you will be stuck for a long time is minimal and the results from what you input could be magical. Is it time for us to step out of the box in which we have hidden for many years or are we scared of the boogie man that lurks out there? The next few weeks might give us some clues about our search for a better place.
 
I really don’t get this Webster love in.He was here 5 minutes and city made a killing in selling him.
But i never felt anything for him as he was gone as quick as he arrived.
Class player mind stood out a mile when he was here.

this was the ruination of the plan had he gone for £10m we may have been less addicted to selling more of our players ... but of course £22m was a good amount sold £48m and spent about £35m [ fee's on top] 6 are still here.
Last 3 and a bit TRF windows spent about £3m + and sold 3 for about £3m + nagy fee
18/19 season spent £10m + sold about £29m
17/18 spent about £24m sold about £3m
16/17 spent about £14m selling about £14m
15/16 spent £4m sold £ 300k
14/15 about £1m sold about £2.5m
