Website Change

Because the site has been getting attacked a lot recently the site owner Mick has decide to move the site to a new platform. This will hopefully lead to less problems.

Forgot to mention...
Any user who has an apostrophe in their username will have it removed because the new site doesn't allow it....Sorry

 

I like that a lot more, however any out of the box forum solution is going to be vulnerable.

 

A couple of Questions:

When will this happen?

Does it mean that we will need to re-register for the new site?

Sorry about that Dave, I totally forgot you lot had changed the clocks last weekend (it was 14:00 in my mind when I posted). We change ours on Saturday night, extra hour sleep for me this week....woohoo!!

 

You will not need to register again.
Rep will no longer exist but instead be converted into 'Likes'
Mick wants to move to the new platform as soon as possible although no date has been set yet, I will keep everybody posted on any updates.

Well it looks like the site owner is ready to migrate to the new look forum, you'll probably wake up on Saturday morning to a new look site.
It may be a bumpy ride during the transition so any problems, glitches or general feedback is welcome here and I will pass it on to Maltese Mick (site owner).

So the current word from Mick is that there will be some changes to the site over the next couple of weeks. A lot of people have complained about the amount of grey used on the site so he will make changes and try to make it look a bit better in that respect. Other fixes and bug removal will happen too.

If anybody has any problems like logging in etc or needs some help navigating the new forum then please let me know and I will be more than happy to help.

 

For those that use Android phones, there is an app in the google play store now for download. The apple app will be coming shortly, not sure when.

 

Amazon is up there as well!
