I think this is a good deal for both parties. We will need competition and on a freebie.....well lets judge him at the end of the season.....or at the end of December. I thought leon Clarke would have done the same, but for whatever reason it never worked out, plus we have Viney out on trial at Doncaster so we were looking light up front.
Can't see how we've committed ourselves to a one year deal at this stage. Warnock has said that he'd be using this weekend and the Cornwall / Devon games to see if Webber's up to it... now all of a sudden someone's (source unknown) suggesting a short term done deal. Surely no more than speculation?
No lets judge him now if we may. If anyone was in any doubt before, there can be none whatsoever now. We have to assault the Premier League next season with useless has-been's and bargain basement throw-away's. This is an absolute farce. Where's WBA's "optimism" now, I ask?
Yep, Leon Clarke springs to mind. May play a couple of League cup games and a couple of sub appearances. To be honest I would prefer big Dave for the last 10 mins!
Clarke was brought in for the Championship, Webber for the Premiership. Taking that into account, same gamble. Hopefully better result but I don't see it.
Beggars can't be choosers eh Kerry, the Taarabt moneys going in someones pocket! Nothing to moan about? ========================================================================== Skysports.com understands that Danny Webber is set to be handed a permanent deal with Queens Park Rangers. The former Portsmouth striker joined Rangers for training last week and he has impressed manager Neil Warnock. Warnock already knew Webber from their time together at Sheffield United, and now he has decided to hand him a contract. "Danny is a smashing lad, I have known him for years," Warnock said on Sky Sports News. Skysports.com understands Webber is set to sign an initial one-year deal at Loftus Road.
I must admit to having a warm fuzzy feeling that our two fastest players are Clarke and Webber Aka: - the pretender and the unknown
Yes I'm here, just been a bit tied up with work. Webber a cracking signing, this season's Shaun Derry IMO. More grit was needed and grittiness abounds with Webber. Good news !!
