With the pressure mounting on SB I can see him going ultra defensive against Swansea, trying to avoid defeat at all cost.

SB will be affected by all the negativity around at this moment and this will result in his team selection, formation and morale with the players.

He will want to stop the losing as he is becoming aware his hold on the job is becoming less secure.

Maybe that also was the main reason we played without strikers against Brighton! Hoping to pinch a goal and keep a clean sheet.
Maybe that's why we played with 1 striker, at home, against a poor Newcastle side.

SB should be told either his job is 100% secure until Christmas or should go now because living from game to game, just trying to avoid defeat, is not working and poor decisions on team selection and tactics are being made for the wrong reasons.

I'm neither SB out or in but I wish he'd find (the promised) replacements for Jones, Bent and Welbeck as well as a LB and LW which we haven't had since Mickey Gray and Julio.

I think we will see him go with quite a few of the new boys. He knows he is under pressure at the minute and it is pointless getting the boot having not given your new lads a go.

I reckon we will see O'Shea, Gardner and Vaughan all come in, maybe even one of Wickham or Ji too.

If he knows what's good for him... He goes for the win Even if he doesn't get the win it's better than player for a bore draw.

Gotta go for a win to be honest. After 3 games i thought we would have 4 points and if we win on saturday we will have 4 points. I mean weve only lost 2 games. A week ago people were saying how well Bruce was doing with the signings and the point at Liverpool but 2 games later everyone is ready to put his head on a plate. Fair enough the first game was Newcastle but its early doors in the season. Bruce must stay until the end of the season minimum in my eyes unless come christmas time we are embroiled in the bottom 3 then its time for him to go.

I agree the selection for last night was baffling but can understand him not wanting to get Gyan injured. The lack of Ji or Whickham was however very suprising. If we win on Saturday people will again be up for the season. There is a massive over-reaction to in my mind 1 game, fair enough it was the one that mattered the most but there are 36 games to come.

Do people really believe themselves when they are saying get bruce out now? If that happens the season is definately ****ed and we will have to spend loads more money in January and next summer to keep the new manager happy. Who would we get in anyway ive heard O'Neill mentioned but he is just a miserable dickhead who hasnt really done anything for 10 years. Plus he only plays with one up front so again the lynch brigade will be out. Who knows we may spend money before the end of the month and bring in either a striker or a winger or maybe both. We are still in the F.A cup which matters a lot more than the mickey mouse cup we got knocked out of last night and we could still have a good season in the premiership.

In my opinion fans are jumping the gun by at least 2 months you cant sack a manager 3 games into the season the last time i remember that it was Bobby Robson and look what happened to those ****ers.
