There we are - I've said it. My first tip of the season. With Moyes in charge and the massive expectation on his shoulders, Rooneygate dragging on and a busy world tour in front of them I reckon Aug 17th will be a good time to play them.

I reckon they would have preferred a match against one of the promoted sides rather than the Swans away.

With the Swans looking strong all over the pitch a cheeky home win is on the cards <ok>

I agree that this a very good chance for us to win. We would already have played one competitive game before them as well, so, hopefully our guys will have gelled well and firing on all cylinders. If Bony lives up to the pre signing hype I can see a 2-1 result with Bony and Michu one apiece!!

They haven't been convincing against us in any of the games we've played them since our promotion, so I do think we have a great chance of catching them cold under a new manager.
It will be my birthday too so 3 points would be a splendid birthday present :D

Let's not get over excited, or we risk being brought back to earth with a bump.

... but in my more optimistic moments I feel we might sneak a win too. You're allowed to dream ;)

The thing is, we've proven that of can beat any of the big boys in this league, so I don't think we're getting above ourselves to predict a win against a side in their first game of a new era with all change. They could well batter us of course, but I don't think it's wrong of us to be confident of getting something.
I think we can be accused of being ridiculous when we start predicting a top 4 finish (as I've heard them up the road expect) but nothing wrong with predicting a win in a one off game at home against anybody

They have an inbred winning mentality so it wont be easy but we wont have a better chance to beat them. If we welcome our new signings by making the Liberty ROCK then we could lift them to victory.

I think a lot of what happens next season will depend on us fans giving our all both home and away.

We have a potentially exciting year ahead, we know our team is good so we got to let them know we know and raise the roof where ever and when ever they play.

    Can't wait

I'd happily take a draw. Don't forget lads, Utd haven't signed anybody yet, and I expect to see a few world class players come into their team <ok>

I'd be more confident had this fixture come a little later. We have a lot of new players and they probably won't begin to gel with each other for at least four or five games. Even so, we now have a lot of quality and beating United wouldn't be the greatest shock in the world. As has been said, they've never had an easy game against us and usually got the run of the ball as well. If we get it this time, together with impartial officials, we just might upset the odds.

Without SAF there is no aura hovering over the team to dazzle the officials. We maybe the most improved club with respect to talent from last season. We are deeper, stronger, have bite where it matters, have a potentially prolific goal scorer in Bony .... And Will have true competition in every position.

We could be this season's surprise team. United are still a strong club but not invincible, not by a long way.

Just drove through Morriston and saw a guy wearing a ManU top. It made me realise, when was the last time I saw someone in swansea wearing the shirt of another club. Go back 5 years or so and there was more them than us, now I'm finding it an actual rarity to see a anything other than a swans top here! Such a big change in such a short period. Good times!

I also can see a win for us Swans ,They only beat us 2 1 up there with a goal from a player who as not scored for a yr or so. As you say its the first game for the new manager ,it could have been the 3rd game would have been a bit better but never mind 2 0 to us.
