and thats all that matter, when I say poor we were first half but second half we looked abit better and came out of it with the 3points.

A lot of work still needs doing to improve our squad in the next couple of transfer markets but thats for another article. With the squad we have though we need a settled team, all this chopping and changing has not helped but with the 3points today it can give us abit of confidence going into a run of games where we can pick up a few points.

    Aston Villa (H)
    Manchester United (A)
    Fulham (H)
    Wigan (H)
    Wolves (A)
    Blackburn (H)

apart from the game against United we are capable of going out and winning everyone of the other games, we wont like but it is a good set of fixtures and I see Villa lost at home to WBA today so we should be looking to make it back to back wins when they visit the SoL

10points from the 6 should be the aim atleast

We were poor first half however we got better and better in the second half and looked like the only team that was going to win! Brung on next week and the return of Bent set the abuse levels to stun!

They were shocking and we played hoofball, we easily deserved to win as we competed much more effectively and held the ball well. Wickham had a good game and Sess was fantastic once again. We weren't bad throughout and we dominated the second half with some good football.

Credit when credit is due we played well in the second half and were on the attack for 80% of the half.

Wickham doesn't look like a premier league striker at this point in his career and he is slow at making decisions and doesnt appear to be able to get away from a defender. Wickham doesnt appear to have enough urgency to his game.

Ji must be given a chance in a 4-4-2 aswell.

I'd echo that. At times, I thought he looked really good. Pleased to see him get the full game.

I though Wickham was slow... He takes too long to make a decision and needs to up his urgency a few notchs. Very one paced and doesnt appear to be able to get away from a defender. Most of the time he was closed down instead of creating space after recieving the ball. The only positive attribute that I saw today is that he is strong and holds the ball up reasonably well which gives time for the midfielders to support the attack but it also gives time for the defenders to regroup. He has a confident touch but really needs to up his urgency.

I've been critical the past few weeks but I thought we were excellent second half. Fully deserved the win

Just had a call from a mate who was at the game and he reckons we were not actually ****e first half - just both teams bricking it, plenty of committment but both sets of players looked scared at dropping a bollock.

2nd half he said we looked pretty good - Wickham seemed to grow in confidence and his effort started to translate to production. He was singing the praises of the midfield too.

p.s. Thank **** for those three points!!

Bendtner & Wickham were both bustin a gut to get the ball. That left Sess to do what he does best, Larssons crossing was good, midfield controlled and the defence when pressed (not often) held firm. All round good display. More please.

Very pleasing. Needs to be built on. A loss to Villa next week is almost as unforgivable as the loss to the Toon for me - especially if the future son-in-law scores.

    4-4-2

I want to be there just for that, Mr RAW

Trying to think of anyone else who has deserved more of a bad reception?

    Possibly Lee Clarke?

Well let's get 40,000 down there next week and hopefully Bruce will stick with the same team. Did Bardo play well ?, i believe Bent will be booed worse than Barton !.
