Owen Coyle’s side need a win at the Britannia Stadium on Sunday to give them hope of Premier League survival.

But Pulis wants to make amends for last weekend’s defeat to the Trotters fellow relegation rivals QPR by grabbing their first win since early April.

The Welshman said: “We were disappointed last week. The result certainly didn't reflect the performance but that happens. We want to finish on a high if we possibly can and get three points.

“We really had a go at QPR last week. We didn't turn up and just sit around, we worked very hard. The problem we had was that when we had our chances we didn't take them.

“Owen has his responsibilities, he has his own football club to look after and he has to manage the week the way he has to. I have to manage the week for this football club. There'll be disappointed where they are because I think they have got some very good players.”

The 54-year-old also believes his side have extra motivation to beat Bolton after the Trotters defeated them 5-0 at the Reebok in November.

But the former Gillingham boss feels the loss – their heaviest of this season – was due to the Potters having just returned from Europa League action in Israel against Maccabi Tel Aviv.

“QPR have done the double over us, and if Bolton beat us on Sunday then they've done the double over us. They're not stats that you want but they're there for everybody to see, so we've got to make sure we stop that one as well,” he said.

“They caught us on the back of a European game like Sunderland caught us (in a 4-0 defeat). We conceded nine goals on Sundays where we had to travel after coming back from Europe when we didn't have the experience to cope with what we were doing.”

Pulis, however, feels that his side’s recent form, which has seen them win one in 11 games is down to the competitiveness of the Premier League.

He said: “If you look at it that's a disappointing stat, but then you look at the teams we have played, and we played very well at home against Manchester City and Arsenal.

“We've had that run, and that's what happens in the Premier League. It's so tight. It's such a difficult league that you can go on runs like that. You can't fault the players' effort.”

1 win in their last 11 is not very comforting.

1 win in 11 is worse than Bolton's 1 win in 7. No good relying on Stoke especially as Sorensen has publicy said he "hates" us. Have to get a draw/win tomorrow.

Thats the way it should be all the time ..
lets not worry about bolton v stoke just concentrate on our own game.
yes i know it could/will have a massive bearing on our season but at the moment we have control of our own destiny..
it is unlikey we will win tomorrow but its not impossible..

beat spurs who would of thought
beat arsenal who would of thought
beat liverpool in 14 minutes who would of thought.
if we were given this position before bolton spurs games we all would of taking it.. no questins asked
We can all say what if bolton win what if stoke just turn up and give up..
when blackburn won the league in 95 and correct me if im wrong they played liverpool that day and liverpool beat them thus handing the league to utd only for united to have an off game and fail to score v hammers .it could happen again it will happen again
    WHY NOT HAPPEN TOMORROW..

    WE ARE STAYING UP

    Rant over..

Pullis is not going to say anything different and I can't see any real reason to doubt Stoke's intentions after their efforts last week.

I'm now fed up with all this talk - can we just bring on the matches now..... COYRs

If we the R's lose on Sunday, I hope that Stoke get a result at the Brittania and the black cats see off the red devils even though the sunderland squad is littered with ex manu players.

Comeon you rrr'ssss. We the fans have faith we'll support you evermore.

In all the excitement of the win over Stoke at LR,I had forgotten that we'd done the double over them! Nice to have done one and looking forward to many more next season whichever league we are in.

I don't know but I do wonder whether the 'warm welcome' at LR has both gained us points but lost some good will along the way??

Anyway, he's paid handsomely to do a job and he should do it well or expect the wrath of his own fans as well as us.
