............but we deserve to go down. We are the worst team I have seen at the Mem this season. Other teams come (none of them great), but they have urgency, pace, pattern, commitment....................... On Saturday and today we had all to play for and vocal fans behind the team. Forget all the praise for effort etc...we lost both games. There's something very wrong. Different managers have come and gone, all with different approaches; but no matter who is in charge, we're still rubbish. This could take a long time to sort, if it can be sorted at all.
I couldn't agree more. Its madness that we have not gone into the bottom two. We keep saying we must win the next game but i am not going to as its getting boring. P.S. Thanks Wooperts_Duck

I've said for a long time that we should be trying to play simple pass and move football. Today we resorted to the high ball towards the attacking end with no real sense of purpose. Dale were an infinitely more composed set of players; better on the ball; better tactically and when let of the hook by inept defending immediately after the interval, justifiable winners. It was very noticeable during the warm up that Dale put emphasis on ball skills; practicing in small close together groups hitting short, crisp first time passes to each other. Then set plays to practice moves which resulted in the ball being thumped into the net. All through the first half they had a wide player on their left flank who received long clearances in totally unmarked positions. We just hacked to ball hopefully upfield. Can we play the ball on the ground? We had a real chance to do something unexpected today. Scoring first, Dale's nerves were more exposed than the Gas. AND despite their superior football, we enough chances to win this game.
Final games: MORECAMBE vs Wimbledon (a) and Bury (h) EXETER vs Scunthorpe (h) and Hartlepool (a) ROVERS vs Wycombe (a) and Mansfield (h) WYCOMBE vs Rovers (h) and Torquay (a) NORTHAMPTON vs Dag & Red (a) and Oxford (h) TORQUAY vs Mansfield (a) and Wycombe (h) I cant see any point in predicting these games. Anything can happen!
torquay are down. a draw in our game with wycombe will send them down regardless if they win or not. their goal difference will be too high for them to over turn. i cant see anything other than a win for northampton vs dag & red so torquay wont be able to catch northampton. a win for either rovers or wycombe will mean torquay cant catch the winner meaning torquay are gone. torquay can only stay up if they win both games and 2 teams from rovers, wycombe and northampton lose both their games. cant see that happening. just hope torquay still go down fighting and beat wycombe on the last game of the season to give rovers a chance!
harrold is uselss when upfront on his own. not his fault but the tactics dont suit him and the service to him is poor. he is best played when there is another forward with him. 442 vs pompey and he scores 2. but when he has played this season he has been on his own.
a 1-0 rovers win on saturday and a northampton defeat will be enough thanks we will be safe then. i just cant see northampton losing saturday and i have no faith in getting an away win seeing that we have only won 1 game away all season in the league.
When you are involved in things like this it's hard to be objective - I would rather be in your position than Northampton's
But you would cream yourself to be in City's position, come on over to the red side you know it makes sense
nah, scunthorpe for sure. rather have a promotion under my belt now than settle for your finish. no disrespect to city when i say that. i think a promotion like scunthorpe will give the fans and players a massive lift and thats a good basis to start next season with. look at rotherham for example. they are in the play offs in your league after winning promotion last season!
