a good result and a bit of thought went in it ….all 3 of our big departee's lost today! and we are above Flinty and Midds on goals scored 12 v 9 however on points we are joint 2nd 1 pt behind LEEDS... to be honest gd after 7 games means very little, it is only after 46 that it really counts take WBA [ gd 6 ]they gained 6 goals GD [ 7-1 ] versus QPR, Brentford [ gd 8 ]made 4 against Rotherham but score decisively as do Leeds [ gd 10 ] … City [ gd 6 ] also got 3 from QPR [ who are actually -9 gd = city 3, and WBA 6, ! ] to be expected many on here were apprehensive, a number no doubt already with spears ready sharpened and grubby old sheets ready to be ripped off the family bed to daub deflammatory slogans on, 0r post endless lines of negative demeaner across all aspects of social media! others, a few, took a more positive view and expected City to do quite well … maybe verging on top 6? whilst the remainder took the spaces on top of the wall... but most happy that we would do well to finish top 12 / half of table, indeed half of those predicting have us 6th to 9th and rest all just belowish……. My first target is always about 48 points from around 35 games, a disappointment will be we get that and go down! however whilst not a launching pad for top 2 at that stage ? top 6 is a possibility !
