We should take great pride if we get a result at Villa Park

Aston Villa officially have their entire playing squad to select from.

We are without Nolan, Tiote and Perch (suspensions) and Ben Arfa, Best, Gosling and Smith (injury) as well as Ireland (ineligible).

Most of those players would walk into our first XI so they way I see it, if Villa fail to beat us tomorrow they should feel very, very bad about themselves.

Even without these players I feel we have a good chance of sneaking a win and oh how wonderful it would be if by doing so it made Villa fans sweat right until the final day in a relegation scrap! <ok>

Now I don't like making an article that isn't open-ended, kinda defeats the purpose of a debating forum.

Let's say Villa go down or failing that, the rumoured 'player walkout' happens at the end of the season. Which THREE Villa players would you like Newcastle to sign and why?

Perch being suspended is probably a bonus, considering Pardew said he was considering playing him in the DM role <yikes>

    I'd take:
Albrighton (good young player we could realistically sign)
Reo Coker (free, will be a good squad member)
Ireland (if he performs for us in the few games he plays)

& I can see the game tomorrow being a draw. <ok>

Part of my soul died when I heard we'd been linked with Reo Coker. Gutted we signed Ireland as well. Albrighton would be OK.

I'm not overly keen on any of them. My choices would probably be Ashley Young, Ciaron Clark and Darren Bent.

Why not? We have £35m and the article said if there was a player walkout. Apart from Young who'll probably get snapped up by a top club or Liverpool.

I don't want us to bid for any of them, but if we had to...

Not Nigel - we should be looking to improve first team, not find squad players. Reo-Coker is ****e anyway

I'll take albrighton and bent without a doubt, maybe downing and maybe reo-coker on a freebie wouldn't be so bad, doubt he'll be on big wages and he'll be a good SQUAD player to have IMO. I'll love young but can't see it happening.
