To my mind, this is one of the most offensive comments we hear all too often from posters at various clubs on this forum. It smacks of arrogance in a league where it's been proven that any side can upset another. It's sheer madness to dismiss a club that's been struggling lately. Bottom 6 clubs can be dangerous as they'll scrap for anything. Mind you, we should be beating teams like this.
well sorry to offend but we should be. its based on a few factors but if i must spell out one or two: 1) superior players 2) a team consistently in the top 6 vs a perenially struggling football club
"We Should Be Beating Teams Like This" as an alternative how about "Given our respective positions in the league and our superior playing staff, in every position, we should have the beating of teams like this any given day" now that isn't arrogant is it???
Fully agree, we get it all the time and it bloody well annoys me which makes it all the sweeter when we beat them
But Sparkey.....the whole point is that over the last God-knows how many years, CCFC have always beaten the best around but lost or given points away to 'Teams Like This'. I'da settle for beating these teams and picking away at the rest to get up!

Goes without saying that we should be beating teams like THIS! Sorry Minxy. At least we're not saying 'despite not having superior players and our league position not being that good our history dictates that it is our god given right to beat teams like these as we deserve to be in the premier league'. Where's a leeds fan when you need one?
Must say I wasn't expecting a reply from a Barnsley poster - they seem to be extinct on this forum. Much the same low opposition poster levels for our next games against Derby and Wednesday (both teams we should be beating ). In fact, it looks like Leicester are the next up with a sizeable forum following for a decent chat - now there's a team we really should be beating!! Wonder if they'll respond?
Ha, Sparky I can remember you causing an indefinably long article on the Leeds board for the old 606. You compared Eland Road to a concrete shed and told the Leeds fans not to worry about getting bored in international breaks cos their ****ty club would soon be back in L1 where they don't have them. Had a good laugh at that, and if it wasn't you i think it must have been Proph.
Have to admit for my sins Sheepy - it was me, but they needed a few wakeup calls at the time after such a "big club" came up from League One. Don't know what came over me being so provocative at the time.............
