Just surfing around different sites really does it bring it home, just how much vitriol there is for Stoke and our style of play. Never particularly bothered me but the general consensus is they all hope we go down. Some other stuff about feeling sorry for us fans watching that drivel but in essence real dislike for the club and the style of play. Never used to be so.. in fact we were a lot of people's second club. Seems we have really fallen by the wayside. Bugger them I say but ...

I discussed this on another thread (I think it was the "Everton Fan View" or something) and said that I could understand how other clubs felt about us and why. It is a great shame that regardless of the success or failure TP is viewed to brought (or should I say bought?) to Stoke - he has created a very well known and almost hated brand of football that will stain our great club for years to come.

    Hope stoke stay up
Supporters get right behind their team and its not their fault Pulis hadn't been removed by mr Coates when it was becoming clear he'd taken you as far as he could.
Football snobbery is very much alive and far too many believe this purist nonsense when results over style have always been more important
If Pulis hadn't decided on an away policy of parking the bus I don't think stoke would be anywhere near the drop zone and a summer change for an up and coming manager like Poyet would be in my eyes a positive move
There are certainly 3 worse teams in the division that's for certain

Well reading and qpr are gone imo, Only 1 place to fill, it's sunderland, stoke, villa, Wigan or Newcastle who will join them, looking at the remaining fixtures, I think sunderland and stoke fans should be most worried, the game Sunderland v stoke stands out to be the decider, can we cope with the anxiety?

    Great post Pauls Power <ok>
I've never really taken to Pulis and I'm certain that it's "Other fans who HATE HIM" not the Stoke fans, in fact I've had some great banter with the Sunderland fans.. so

    Murray
Villa might? stay up, not sure about Wigan either? Your run is no better than ours IMO. But, that game might now be a massive game for both as you say. DiCanio WILL no doubts have some effect on you're players too! THAT is our problem, Pulis does not (use) the squad we have.

Who knows the Sunderland v Stoke game may be that both teams just need a point to stay up and they will be both happy to sit back and get it! Crazier things have happened in football!!

We've got more chance of getting the correct team picked than picking up any points there.

Losing the fear factor at the Britannia is the problem for me
Over the last few years its been a case that the top sides would snatch your hand off for a point there but over the last 12 months its changed and as an away supporter I thought it was noticeable that the fans don't really believe which comes across as half hearted,it was especially like that in the FA cup game against man city

but stoke haven't been getting any points recently, have they?

any team that fails to score in 14 games when the season isn't even over yet, doesn't deserve to stay in the league.
