Guys, i feel like a 4 year old on christmas eve. I cant wait for santa to come but am afraid incase i get nothing. Thats how i feel about tonight. I think the result is obviously vital as we need the 3Pts badly. But what i also want to see tonight is a performance. I want to see our players not running the hard miles for the sake of it, but having the courage to put their heads up and look for the ball. As swords would say i want our team to "have a go". I can't put my finger on it but our performances have been missing something for the last 4-5 games. Not sure it's a lack of effort or energy, and i know we do have some quality. I 'm wondering is it just a lack of confidence at the moment. A good performance tonight would lift us all and give us confidence going into the next few vital fixtures.

I think you have selected the perfect words 999 Intensity, we have not really being attacking with purpose. Determined to drive past that defender. Pace, deffo think we have not used SWPs pace correctly. He always seems to get the ball with his back to goal. Would love to see him working the channels at pace Belief, maybe our confidence is low at the moment. Confidence comes from success. We need to start winning again.
Need to add "Accuracy" to that list. Our passing accuracy is poor to say the least. Our shooting accuracy (34%) is worst in the league! Let's hope we see a BIG improvement tonight. Vital game for points. COYRs
At this level scoring / shooting opportunities are limited and you need a player who can capitalise on that..........sadly Jay Bothroyd struggles currently to even hit the target. He's got to drop to bench and lets start with HH and DJ please. Also if SWP starts and fades lob on Puncheon. A game for Tararararararabat to remind us why we love(d) him Performance needed and 3 vital points vital tonight
Also NUTS, and I really do hate to be negative. We seem to lack the ability of moving the ball from one end of the pitch to the other with ruthless efficiency and purpose. I've seen it a few times against us this season though, where we lose possession on the edge of their box and before you know it the ball is nestling in the back of our net! This happened a few times against Fulham and more recently against West Brom and Man U ( almost carbon copy goals. ) The Germans also did it to England at the last world cup. We need to work on that aspect of our game, both in attack and in defence.
Pumped for tonite. It's gonna be awesome. We need a performance like the man city game and the rest will be cream cheese ;-)

Sounds like this board´s up for it, but what Rangers awaits the Black Cats???, will we be a wounded animal waiting for it´s death or will we be the wounded tiger waiting to pounce?? - I hope it´s the latter. Pity Briatore ain´t in charge anymore (joke) cos he wouldn´t let any Black Cats near the place!!!. I have seen all the games recently and something is amiss ever since the ManCity game. Well let´s hope the rot has stopped and tonight we put in a performance like we can. BTW has the pitch started to cut up again or do I need to go to specsavers???
