We need to qualify for CL for the credibility of English Football

I can't deal with Spurs embarrassing this nation in Europe once again. Real Madrid was too much to take, a CL place would be wasted on them as let's face it, they are in it to make up the numbers.

Manchester has taken all the plaudits and rightly so but we have restored some credibility to London Football which was easily the strongest area in terms of football from the mid early 00s onwards.

Would love this club to win the CL but we also need to win it to make sure the future of this club is safe. If we win the CL I'm sure we will get back in the top 4 next season. A club like Spurs won't compete with the elite and have hit a glass ceiling.

I was browsing the boards at the same time following the fulham game.

And as for the Bayern scarf bit - you'd be doing the same if the roles were reversed so that point hardly needs mentioning.

 

Spurs have qualified for the European Cup once and the Champions league once. We got to the semi-finals and the quarter finals. Hardly an embarrassment.

Hope the better team wins next Saturday - rules are rules and if Chelsea are better they will deserve to get through next year even if it will be hard to take.

Chelsea deserve to win it(for London),they've been head and shoulders above the other London clubs in the competition.

And if the Spuds end up on Channel5(with us and the Toon)they might stop they're delusions of grandeur.

Yet again Spuds future is in the hands of its Betters and nothing would give virtually the whole of London more pleasure to see the Blues deny Spuds a champions league place for the Europa league they so richly deserve.

I don't care what anyone says about them, I think the likes of JT, Drogba, Terry and Cole deserve to have a Champions League Winners medal. Cole in particular has lost 2 CL Finals, all 4 of those players have easily been some of the best in their respective positions for approaching a decade now and it would be great if they could have this accolade next to their names

Better than relying on Sugar Daddy who simultaneously props up the club whilst undermining it, buying players that don't fit into the team and sacking any manager that brings success. I really doubt the rest of London is behind you either
