This is the thread where you put your ideas for the small chance a Posh staff member will read it and put it into action.

Put down below what the Posh need to do…

    Mine is:

Get another quick striker who can score anything up close.

I think a lot will depend on who of the present squad stays. If you can keep the majority of them together we will have a great team for L1

If we need to get rid of Grant .... we need to replaced his free kick ability ..... how many important goals has he got for us this season.

Hope we can keep hold of Rowe ..... As he has proved his ability this season

Not sure if Payne is ours or not .... but want to see him stay.

"If we need to get rid of Craig .... we need to replaced his free kick ability"

I didn't know that Craig Alcock took free-kicks, or do you really mean Grant McCann?)

    Outs:
Grant McCann (can no longer afford his wages, unless he takes a pay cut to stay)
Mark Little (deserves a new contract, but can we afford his wages?)
Danny Swanson - Has quality but doubts remain in my mind over his fitness and L1 is much more physical

Sign Jack Payne if he will stay
Sign Pritchard if he wants first team football rather then bench warming or reserves at Spurs
and if we can afford his wage demands

Dropping down to League 1 may well benefit the development of former youth players such as Joe Newell, Kgosi Nthle,
    Jaanai Gordon and Shaq Macdonald.

We also have Daniel Kearns and Emile Sinclair now that their loan spells have expired, though whether the latter
would be welcome back at London Road is for the manager to decide.

Zak and Bostwick, with Brisley and Knight-Percival as cover for CB seems good enough for L1, likewise Rowe/Nthle at LB/WB.

Alcock is good enough as RB but he is not a WB so we will need someone for that position if Little does leave.

Gayle, Barnett (who seems to have been forgiven), Gordon up front with McDonald used sparingly, so I would like to see another
    forward to complement Gayle signed.

Midfield seems to be the real problem area.

Tomlin and NML as wingers seems a good option. Payne (assuming we sign him), Kearns (assuming we keep him), Ferdinand, Newell leaves us
perilously thin in the middle and we need a good, strong CM 'General' perhaps 2 if we hope to be challenging for promotion

    We have....

Danny Hollands (available for less than £250k) a good CM in L1 but sadly not quite up to Champ
Matt Taylor (end of contract) a solid CB and vice captain, practically ever present for us last season
Danny Green (we paid £450k for him) a RW who on his day can cause a lot of problems, good long throw and a very good free kick taker
Bradley Wright Phillips (end of contract) he WOULD score a lot of goals for Posh in L1 <ok>
Scott Wagstaff (end of contract) RW who gives his all and gets into positions to score goals

We would only get these players on the bosman ruling because of the new stupid salary cap. :/

Not gonna spend money on those players (no offence)

Ever thought of getting someone experienced who maybe has one season left in them?
Col Who did when they got Teddy Sheringham. His experience helped the others around him.

Might be worth Fergie Jnr borrowing his dad's little black book?

No. He doesn't take his dad's players. He doesn't like it. And we do have experienced players. All of our team have played in this league and the one above it multiple seasons.

The problem with that Maestro will always be wages. Posh average around 7,000 for home games in League 1, this will severely
curtail our ability to pay high wages with the cap in place.

There might be the odd player who wants to play, and not just the money.

I never suggested taking any of his dad's players, just use his dad's black book.
