To stop leaking and guarantee the goals needed to ensure a decent haul of points, we need 2 defenders (CB and LB) and 2 strikers on 5 month loans. One of each doesn't shore us up enough to absorb injuries, suspensions and the A Con.

Owners must've have learned their lesson. Have to swallow the Hughes misadventure I'm afraid. No more money for old rope. 'Arry usually knows a serious prospect when he sees one.

Owners have to ask themselves, what's the guarantee of going down and bouncing back up? Ask Bolton, Wolves, Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds etc.. Too many hungry clubs down there to risk it for the biscuit. Time is now, while we're still here. Attack, attack, attack and don't look back!

So who's the two defenders? No idea. Possibly Dawson. Strikers? Could well turn out to be Keane and Anelka. Younger would be better though. Gonna cost in wages but can we really afford to go with what we've got and hope DJ's ready to do a Blackpool act.

Will the required newbies gel? Who knows... better than 'Arry that is?

Agree we need AT LEAST two of each and bring DJ back as well. Loans are the best option...

Wait until after Saturday IMO as most on here will swing if we win

We get a good result against Fulham then we are good enough.

Attempting to integrate another couple of saviours in a team that isn't well integrated themselves may not work

We don't lose Saturday then it's unbeaten in four exactly the foundation to build on the remaining games thereafter prior to the window will say it all IMO.

I believe we have great players and finding a ready made striker that will win us games will be hard

Loans without a doubt will be how it goes ...then If .... it has to be the two Nickolases for me Bentner and
Both can do it have **** to prove and would score a few ... Bentner on crosses is a fine player

    Dawson, Samba, Crouch, Anelka.

Although I'd hate to think it'd be Ben Haim and Yakubu......

Samba and Rhodes/Hooper. Can you believe the latter went for just 175k 2 years ago?

Agree with Brix but can see DJ filling one of those two spots baring injuries can see Young coming back into the squad allowing Fabio to play LB although I don't think it's his best position but probably better than Traore and Ben Haim is currently being integrated, therefore I can only see room for one striker? What about Charlie Austin?

FBs are the problem, we desperately need a top class CB, not players that have just left L1 clubs.

We need a good quick new CB, and a prolific goal scoring striker, plus DJ back from loan. Think we are covered at full back, and definitely in midfield.

Come the transfer window will depend where we are to what we can bring in, if we are still cut adrift at the bottom then unlikely to attract anyone of great capabilities more likely to see more journey men, if we have closed the gap and are in with a shout then we have a chance of attracting decent talent.

If we are still cut a drift, I'd be looking for players who will stay next season, perhaps young exciting up and coming talent from the Championship, what I would like to avoid is bringing in more Merc\journeymen\end of career players at all cost.
