Following the recent specualtion that Sudnerland have bid £12mil for Wes Brown, John O'Shea and Darren Gibson, and the fact that today BBC Sport is reporting that an injury-prone Wes Brown, who turns 32 in October, has just signed a FOUR year deal at Sunderland leads me to ask whether we have enough managers in the league? Would Villa be holding out for £20mil if Sammy Lee was in charge? Or would we perhaps get away with £8mil and Kyrgiakos. Any time Fergie wants to sell he has an immediate market willing to pay a good price, and any time he gets in an argument he has an army of support from his lapdogs. Instead of investing in young players, we should be investing in old ones. Pour our transfer money into coaching courses and it doesn't matter who we have in the squad, we'll get good money for them anyway! That's the way to build a team.
Fergie gets that much because of Steve Bruce sucking up to him. Bruce has already publicly admitted Sunderland's only a stepping stone for him as he sets his sights on managing Manchester United one day. As much as the Glazer's have problems with finances they aren't that stupid On top of this, Brown and O'Shea can coach at Sunderland and if they turn good, they'll return to Manchester to coach there maybe? -- Jamie Carragher will be future Liverpool FC manager and Steven Gerrard his assistant!
I would love it if Steve Bruce became Man United manager when the old soak retires,it would make our job far easier in knocking them off their perch. For a start they would be in a different league. They wouldn't be able to win number 20 if they were in the Championship.
i thin it is rather interesting to see a player like brown who is essential worthless going to sunderland for that period of time. o'shea is more interesting has he's got a kick or two left him him like carra.... gibson is unknown. basically if you were looking for your fee for jones to be paid off i guess if you pick up the phone to your buddy its happy dayz. its a pity the fawners are falling by the wayside though... take hughes for example, hodgson too. how long before bruce get the sack at sunderland? I would put moeny on him being first man on the list for the bullet this season.
Theres also Big Eck,He's already on thin ice at Villa Park and a ball hasn't been kicked if they lose to WBA,there will be World War 3.As much as Villa hate the Brummies they also dislike the Baggies. Then theres Harry ''Triffic'' Redknapp if Spurs aren't in the top five come christmas,he's in trouble. So in reality there is more than Fathead and Sparkout.Thank god Captain Crutches isn't managing in the premiership,he was the worst fawner.Even worse than Fat Sham.
Bleed Liverpool Red. That is exactly what I was doing. Excellent observation. PS. Welcome to the board mate
