We need to work out a way of playing teams who do not play football. Against Bolton and now Cardiff we have been bullied and made to stoop down to a style that of football that is disgraceful as it is archaic, but we have to deal with it and currently we can’t. I’d love to know how Warnock coaches a team to kick lumps out of teams and hoof the ball so consistently for 90 minutes, take your hat off to him he does it to a tee. Cardiff may well go up come May but I’d rather we played our brand of football every day of the week, even if it means we miss out on promotion.
Grapes? A bit sour or just out of season? Are you suggesting that teams should allow the opposition to play as they wish, or it's not fair? Maybe there should be three points at each game allocated to the team that is prettiest?
No, I'm saying the brand of football Warnock has you playing is not what I, and most others associate with the word football, in fact it's the very antithesis of it, but hey it's working for you. You must be so proud......
Back in car. Terrible game - great result. Get real supcon - will comment later. For now - tough ****.
Supercon is making the victory all the better. Really funny. Great stuff keep em coming. Not bitter is he
Warnock has had years of experience on how to play this division and fair play to him.....I like you Supercon, much prefer our style (that we had before Christmas) but if it doesn't work you do need a decent Plan B.........which currently we don't..
He is one of the most successful managers getting teams out of the championship. We can wait another 30 years, however Warnock will have em up in one.
You wanted Pardew RR!! That's not going so well is it.......As for Warnock, he may well take them up but wouldn't surprise me if they part company if they do..
There is more than one way to play football - to be at the top of the league you need to beat all teams and adapt your style accordingly We have struggled against sides that are more physical - and I mean Cardiff no disrespect by saying that - just look at the league table!! We have to learn how to play in those circumstances.
Spot on, a great manager for me is one that can adapt his team to play more than one way depending on the opposition..
Cardiff are not our business, who cares but good luck to them. As for 'our' brand of football - please tell us all what it is. That's not what you/me/1For wants it to be - just what brand we've been actually been playing since Boxing Day.
I've watched your boys a few times now and to be honest, you play football when you're allowed to but are equally as physical and direct as us more often than I'm sure you'd like to admit! How many set piece goals have you scored, which essentially come from "get it in the mixer" for Flint and Co? Why did Fulham's manager have a little grumble about your physicality? How come today, you clock up more fouls than us? How often does Magnusson launch throws into the box for the big lads? In your game against us at your place, you were fortunate to have Pack on the pitch when we went down to 10 men.... Suggest you take off your red tinted glasses and admit you're not really the "total football" side you claim to be!
What was wrong with plan A? The possession based passing football that sent Bristol City upwards. Plan B ... The long ball game with a heavy emphasis on pomo set plays Bristol City have been playing before Cardiff has sent the team Southwards.

Yep, and in all probability, back down the next if he stays. I love Colin - said it so many times that he is a real character, one that people love or hate. He has the necessary Championship experience and will get them promoted - I wouldn't be surprised to see them as champions, despite Wolves lead at the moment. I can actually see him getting them up and saying "Thanks. Done my job, now get someone in who can keep the club there. I'm retiring!!" And who would say he shouldn't?
The guy has been a credit to the game,Cardiff pulled a master stroke in getting him there. Quality manager. I wish City fans would give him more respect. A shame as he once said I would love to manage Bristol City. Our loss.
Warnock has almost said as much Reliant! He dislikes the Prem immensely. The inflated money, egos, agents etc. and in all honesty I don't blame him. I see it as an overhyped league with countless plastic fans. The only issue being that it's the top division in the league and we all want to see our teams doing the best they can. If we go up (still think it'll require a minor miracle) I can quite easily see Warnock walk away. It just worries me who we'd end up with instead as Bellamy is likely to be off to somewhere else soon (he'd have been my choice following more tutelage from Warnock).
Diedhiou and Dony with Reid in behind wasn't Citys football and clumsy lumps forward was plan A today from kick off..
Warnock knows how to win football matches at this level, it ain't always pretty to watch , but it's effective. Would I want him at City? , I'm honestly not sure , I don't like his style of play and would rather watch ours , well before Christmas at least . I agree with others about the PL also , Brizzleblubird summed it up perfectly.
