We have had the likes of Ash, Wayne Brown, Deano in recent years who have given us that experience and organisation on the pitch and we have been very succesful with them, you look at the team now and we have no one who can grab the teams by the bollocks and kick their asses, Hobbs is too inexperienced, Koren is too much of a flair player, Evans and Chester are too young, Dawson is frankly past it, McKenna goes missing too much, Fryatt is too far up field and i dont think he could lead anyway, Barmby is on the bench so is irrelevant and cant last 90 mins anyway.

We need an experienced campaigner in midfield who can hold the ball and not panic, so our wide and flair players can take up decent positions and not spend all game chasing long balls or backtracking to collect it.

Step forward Jason Koumas available on a free transfer, helped Cardiff perform well last season and is an experienced head.

I think Pearson was hoping Mckenna would be the one but he hasn't started very well, and that's why Barmby is introduced into matches to give a bit of direction. Hobbs needs to concentrate on his own game I think. At a loss to say who another captain could be so you are right, we need somebody to take charge on the pitch.
