That's according to Damien Comolli, i can see where he's coming from, we were poor this summer in the transfer window, my candidate for the job would be Fergie, players would want to join us and it might speed up our deals as well.

Coming from the man who was behind Carroll to LFC for £35m and Downing to LFC for £20m, I think we need a director of football <ok>

I think the point of Fergie's retirement was so that he could retire?
He is on the board now yes, but he will have a fringe involvement. I think he wanted to spend more time with his grand children.
A DOF position is pretty involved and if he was going to do that he may as well have stayed on as manager.

Good shout. He can pick up the phone to any manager in world football. They may not pick it up at the other end but he can definitely do his bit.

Cantona. He'd use Jedi mind tricks to make players come to United.

Well done Comolli. He was certainly a great advert for the post. He helped the scousers tremendously. And they wouldn't be where they are without him (and Dalglish the muppet). The scousers have got a lot to be thankful for, haven't they?...<ok>
