Belgium are currently taking over the English Premier League. Benteke Hazard Mirralas Felliani Mignolet Kompany Vertonghen Vermaelen Dembele Lukaku All quality players, and some serious talents. Belgium's football academy's have been very prolific, and there is some thing about the players they produce that just fits the pace and physicality of the Premier League perfectly. A typical Belgium player right now is strong, powerful, quick and skillful. Only one player on that listed hasnt settled right into English football and began to dominate opposition players right away. That one play is only 19 though. These players have obviously been brought up and educated in football very well. We need to cash in on this. De Bruyne, Witsel, Mertens, Defour... Any of these a good fit?
How did you manage to spell Vertonghen and Vermaelen and not Fellaini or Mirallas? lol (that wasn't me having a go by the way) Belgians are well truly taking the world by storm in football though, you'd be surprised if they Didnt do well in the World Cup next. You'll be out priced on Witsel, didn't he move to Zenit for around â¬40m in the summer? Can't see Chelsea letting De Bruyne go as he's doing fairly well on loan I hear. I haven't a clue how realistic Mertens is, I've liked him when watching Belgium though and I think Defour would be decent but do you need another midfielder?
When I was at school I would struggling to spell simple words but could easily spell Ronaldiniho. Vertonghen was a crazy one to spell right. I googled Vermaelen and copied it. and yes I know some of the names I put were dream links.
most of the belgians who have real quality are already tied down, i would much rather we brought in some young german players (draxler,holtby,hummels,schürrle,gotze) because i feel the bundesliga has more in common with the pl than any of the other leagues,these players would find their feet quicker which is what we would need from any new player coming in.
This. Winger for cheap- Harmann from B. Monchengladbach, CM- Grosskreuts from BVB, FWD- Holtby-Schurrle-Draxler-Kiessling are just a few examples of those players that could be in our range ( Possibly not schurrle as they did reject 20 mil from Chelsea in the summer).
Plays at FC Twente witha contract till June 2014. Fairly good player but isn't having the best of seasons at the moment. I rate Dusan Tadic much higher right now.
Grosskreutz is a winger (although one within our range), and Draxler would cost at least the same as Schurrle. Both are 20 mill +.
