I know it will reduce Austin's output but we need 5 across the middle and to stop the supply line to Hazard and Remy.

On the latter, what kind of reception do you think he'll get? Definitely a boo or two from me

I don´t know the line-up for them but Costa definitely has temperament issues so he´s one to unsettle, maybe even Hazard who has been playing really well recently. Would love to be there but Spanish air traffic control is playing up.

He deserves a quick boo at least. He left us at the last minute knowing we were without enough strikers, in order to go and sit on the bench and slow his career down at Chelsea.

Or it could be 5-3-2 if we play with three centre backs and two wing-backs.

Costa is out for the rest of the season.

As we finished against Villa for the formation, 3-5-2, with Sandro (if we must), Barton and Henry in midfield, Phillips and Traore wide. It won't be pretty. I think, from what we said about '3 more wins' Ramsey may have written this one off already.

This is funny game though SB - the bookies will have them down as favorites of course....but at HQ we have a chance especially if we can press them and keep them under pressure. The first 25 mins of the second half of last night should be the yardstick but I still have doubts about our overall fitness levels even at this late stage of the season. Anyway on the day anything can happen and the script can well and truly be discarded.

Yeah, posted on another thread that I wouldn't turn up if I didn't think there was a glimmer of hope. If the stadium replicates the noise made by the travelling fans at Villa, and the team gives us reasons to keep shouting (a few 'hard but fair' tackles and a lot of chasing and harrying is enough) the atmosphere will be cracking.

We certainly weren't embarrassed when we went to the Bridge. Steadfast defence and attack on the counter. Hoilett may be more use than Kranjcar

I won't give Remy any 'special' treatment either way. He did the job we paid him to do (score goals) and as per the agreement when we signed him, we didn't stand in his way when an offer from a CL club came in.

As such, I'll treat him like every other Chelsea player that disgraces our pitch. I'll boo him and jeer and hope he hates every minute of the match.

Can't see how we can play 3-5-2 because that will give primary responsibility for marking Hazard to Matt Phillips. So would give their most effective player a boost and be a negative for on form our most effective player.

If Fer or Adel were fit I’d consider a 4-5-1 but because of injuries I think we have no option but 4-4-2 and I’d play Traore at Left mid as we need outlet of pace and crosses into box for Austin and BZ

As for booing Remy will a bit but I don’t care that much as I cant blame him for what he did. Main boo’s will be saved for CLR ‘Captain, Leader Racist’. Also imagine Mourinho will get a bit as well.

Hoping though we remind on sky cameras what a worrying large proportion of their fans are all about. They adapted the Palace song in Paris be nice if we adapted it as well. Think it’s a good song for creating atmosphere. “wooooooooooo woooooooooo woooooooooo woooooooo your racist, your racist your racist and that’s why we hate hate you hate you wooooooo woooooooooo woooooooooo woooooooo”

    Agree.
If we lose, we must not do so by loads as GD may be critical!

I think under Ramsey we can give anyone a game in this division
I only see three points apart from the other two options of 1 and 0

    What would you prefer?

I think Chelsea could be in for a very tough game and if we win this match then we stand every chance of staying up as the other fixtures for teams around us look good

I don't expect Remy to be starting. I think they will trust Drogba more.

Three centre backs is a must to me, as is three in centre of midfield, but which three? IF (very doubtful) we can contain Hazard the job is half done. Time for Mr Henry or Sandro to take one for the team!
