Villa away will be tense but I think we will win there as we have too much quality for them.

Got this feeling that Benitez will play the reserves...

That would be a mistake as Everton have an attacking threat and you never know. I would be inclined to wrap it up in the Midlands and have a relaxed game at home to Everton.

Talking about the Villa game. Benitez will have one eye on the final and can see him playing the second team.

Azpilicueta-Cahill-Terry-Bertrand-Lampard-Ake or Mikel-Oscar-Hazard-Benayoun or Marin- Ba will most likely be the team for Villa with maybe Ferreira at RB

Not too sure on that one

I think you will beat Villa but draw with Everton but take third on GD from us. I hope we can win our next two fixtures. It's going down to the wire!

Villa is the one to win. Hope Ramires is taken aside and given lessons on how to pass. I have never seen one player give the ball away so much as against Spurs. Surely the only Brazillian ever born with no control. All of his great work is undone by his passing. Maybe it's tiredness, the whole team went a bit soft last 20 mins, so there is some excuse, they really have played too many games. I was hoping for Coco to replace him with Lamps, but no chance.
Luiz and Lamps our best midfield for mine.

Ramires for Lampard - as you say......no chance, although there was the inspired substitution of Oscar for Benayfuckingyoun!

CP I agree with everything you said here and its almost same as I just said on another thread. As Ramires got more tired he became a liability, how do we see all these things but Benitez as manager doesn't. I did hope the line up would be Luiz and Lampard but my son said Ramires would do just as well so a change somewhere down the line I think would have made a big difference to the end of the game.

I won't believe we are safely out of this until its a done deal as I still have a deep feeling Benitez will drop us right in the **** and we will end up with nothing. We should and could have won that game last night if he had played it right.

We should play a strong side v Villa but a couple of players probably need to be kept fresh for Wednesday. Bottom line is, we have 2 chances to get top 4 now but only one chance to win a trophy and Wednesday is therefore the priority.

Torres shouldn't kick a ball v Villa and I'd be tempted to rest Mata and Ramieres. That aside, I'd play full strength.
