<peacedove> I am not going to point finger, because many of our players are doing it.
Especially where there opposition is going no where, we must not foul him to concede a free kick.
Yesterday's foul led to a gaol by Southampon, we are aware that they are good at set pieces,
    why giving them the opportunity???.

The foul is one thing but we still had to lose three consecutive balls after that they concede. Couldn't believe how easy it was for them to do that but fair play to them....

  3. I love Lucas, he needs to be in the team imo, but the downside is the constant petty fouls. He's not as bad as he used to be mind.

Fouls i don't mind. An inability to defend any set piece? That i mind.

Agreed, sometimes fouls are required and I do like a good foul. If you don't go round kicking the opposition now and then they can become difficult and play some nice footy.

Defend the set piece well, it's not hard.

  9. If that were the case, why do all teams concede goals from set-pieces?

Milner thought he was being clever getting a yellow to free him to play against Chelsea. The problem is he forgot how **** at defending our defenders are <grr>

Tactical foul is okay to stop the opposition going forward and slow down play. Milner type of foul on Sunday was needless.

A big part of our problem has been losing focus towards the end of a game. We concede a lot of goals late on, set pieces or not.
