Next up Home vs Newcastle, Away Everton, Home Aston Villa, Away QPR. This is likely to get us into 4th for sure, maybe 3rd. COME ON ARSENAL.
We need to repay Newcastle quite a few compliments too I dare say my friend The boys could draw much from the spirit of 89 and 98. A question popped up in my mind - Are we the only team who have secured the league titles at the home ground of the opposition? Now who's the historian here?
Newcastle and Everton are games where we are likely to drop points if we are going to drop points. If we are clinical with our finishing as we have been over the past few games and have our better defenders, I think we will do well. Worried about a possible Chelsea revival? I'm still having nightmares about last season and how we allowed all the teams (Man City, Chelsea) to catch up with us and leave us in 4th. We cannot afford to do this, this year.
Any updates on your injuries from last night. You'll struggle against Newcastle without Oxo, Walcott and Arteta?
I thought this too and no, I've not seen nowt myself. Arteta should be back though which should help.
Fingers crossed said revival will occur after our game! after our game its a good luck for the season. otherwise i hope we beat you 15-0! haha
Tbh I think you will thrash us. We (Newcastle) are playing rubbish at the moment, horrible hoofball up to Ba and Cisse which will play right into your hands. RVP vs Williamson will not be a pretty sight for us Newcastle fans.
Why do you think hoofball will play into our hands ? We'll inevitably give away a million stupid free kicks in dangerous positions leading to some calamity in defence because we can't defend set pieces.
Don't we generally give away the free kicks because people are running at our back 4 and not because of balls hoofed up through the air? We tend to perform worst againt teams like Swansea or Man Utd that play football and work the ball though the middle. Although our set piece record was bad last year, it was largely due to free kicks. I thought I remember reading somewhere that our record defending corners wasn't bad at all.
Hopefully oxo and walcott's injuries arent too serious. Although i fear the worst for oxo as he seemed to play through the pain of that hamstring injury however if he had torn it then there is no way he could have played on. They do at least have some recovery time now and hopefully we will have them back for the newcastle match. I can also see spurs dropping more point against everton and we will begin to see just what they are made of in this run up to the end of the season.
Because it doesn't work for us, we just hit it back to the opposition. When we pass the ball we look much more dangerous and create alot of chances.
