On Sky the panel said; ...about Reading...They were the worst side they've seen for ages. ...about Southampton...they played poorly, clearly had an off day ...about Citeh...they played poorly, had an off day. So it's clear (according to tv pundits) that we are not very good, it's just that when we win it's because the other team has an off day. Keep on thinking that.
For the first half hour or so we were struggling mate probably down to City being world class though, then after that it was 50/50 maybe we just about edged it up til the last 5 maybe 10 minutes then City started to play again. We never play well mate especially when we win but, I couldn't give a toss as long as we keep winning the press/media can say and believe what they like I'll base my verdicts on actually watching the lads live or listening to what our lot who have been say. Anyway the history books will only show Sunderland 1-0 Man City not whether we played crap or City had an off day. Think it was Cest (strangely) who mentioned the Ronny Gill and Journal will try and paint it as you say, let them.
Doesn't matter how well we played. Should of been a free kick, Hart should of saved it, City should of scored 7' Blah Blah, frigging Blah. Mancini needs to show a bit of respect. The twat.
Not just Mancini mate, all these so called pundits need to wake up and realise that outside the top 6 teams, there are other teams that can actually play a bit when they put their minds to it.
The Sky panel are not the only ones. Here isthe quote from the sour grapes City manager. Macin 'I think they [Sunderland] are really lucky against us at home because you can't create every time 15, 20 chances like this year, last year, two years ago and in the end, you lose the game. 'They are very lucky against us. They defend well, but we need to be stronger when we have a chance to score.' P.S. Will Wayne Rooney think we're OK now?
Tbh. mancini's english isn't great. Not sure he wil know what a bogey team is, if he did thats what he would (should) have said
I honestly thought that after 30 mins they looked devoid of ideas. Their fans who had been vocal up to that point seemed to quieten down and I half jokingly/half seriously said I believed City were there for the taking.
