Wenger has emphasised the need to play our attacking football in Milan and try to get an away goal. Totally agree with this approach. I think it would be a dangerous game to play for a draw. Obviously we need to concentrate defensively too, we don't want to come away with a 2 or 3 goal deficit. But I think we need to play to our strengths and go for a win. http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/wenger-we-ll-try-to-be-audacious-in-milan
Must admit, I don't know much about Italian football these days, (last time I consistently watched Italian football was in the 90s la gazetta or something) so I don't know how good this Milan side is. I also know it is a dangerous game going to play for a draw, (in any case that's not in Wenger's DNA) in the same vein, we cannot go away from home and be audacious, I think it will be a patient game from us at least...... I will check how they got on this weekend and where they are in the table....... Did spuds not knock them out last season?
Thanks, just had a peek on the BBC Website, it appears their game v udinese was called off . Dunno if that's good or bad for us.
They're a decent side, man for man they edge it for quality of first elevens with everybody available. Tactically we need to play a high tempo game & force them to play at a pace faster than they're used to. How we've seen off Italian opposition in the past. Let's not be over cautious, both games are winnable.
I think they'll win 2-1 at the San Siro, but that would actually be a good result for us as I think we could sneak it at the Emirates. Prediction: Milan 2-1 Arsenal Arsenal 1-0 Milan Arsenal win on away goals
We can't afford to play defensively and drop deep, we need to dictate the game and really attack them and especially with pace on the wings we can certainly cause them problems, song will be vital for us as he will need to pick up boateng and robinho dropping off, and tv and kos will need to work together in order to keep ibrahimovic quiet but yes we can definately get a win in the san siro.
I actually can't wait for this game. Anyone think they can predict the AC starting 11? I know they have a few key players injured.
The match ticket is cheap, only 25 pounds, it's everything else that makes it expensive, hotel, flight etc.
none of my friends are Arsenal members to have been able to even go to the match. I came with BA, cheaper than the actual official arsenal flight package price.
