The problems start when the likes of Fulham, Swansea, Reading, Southampton and West Ham, play them, and bottle it based on the history and the name, especially at the Theatre of over-aged dreams, and Fergie is able to nurture self belief in the team, and convince his totally ****e players that they are the best, otherwise he would not have them in his team. And then all the kiss-ass refs all start chipping in with unjust calls and Fergie Time. I think it proves that Fergie has sold his soul to the devil, as they still manage to achieve far more than their collective talent is capable of. It's a kind of residual glory. We should have it too, only Souness totally eradicated it, when he totally destroyed our team and bought the likes of Dicks. There are only a few vapours wisping around at Anfield, that will mean that people will not be surprised if we ever win the league again.
Whilst it was an embarrassing loss I tend to agree with Neville in that it was a freak result (margin of the scoreline). I'd be more worried if you were pumped 3-0 at home. I'll save my judgement until you have played City and Arsenal
would phil dowd give wba two away day pens? i think not. would marriner even book scholes at old trafford and how many pens would they get there? seems to me everton were a bit robbed by their ref just like us...
Scholes done enough to get two yellows yet again, same theme last season, the living legend that is paul scholes cannot be sent off if it can be avoided by refs. Same sh!t every year. Agger gets sent off for pushing air at Long and Scholes can avoid yellow after yellow.
