Well the rumours say O'Neill wants 2 assurances from the owners. 1 is time and after the first time round he will get time from the fans and 100% support. And the other is money

If the owners give him 20M in Jan we will defo be promoted and if the owners give him 30M in the summer if we get promoted then he could lead us back into the top half of the prem.

Top should go all out for MON. And if O'Neill wants to wait for the Man U job or something just put in a release clause in the contract

Couldnt agree more. If those are the only 2 conditions, then no faffing about - just sign him up.
May take time for some of the players to adjust to his style, so no guarantee of promotion, but there would be a lot more commitment on the pitch

Hopefully the new managers can sort out set peices aswell. Arsene Wenger said we was the best in europe at free kicks and corners but since Muzzy Izzet left we have been ****

MON will obviously get more time from the fans than any other manager we could appoint. Top promised to back Sven with funds, he made the decision to sack him so should be prepared to back the new manager as well.

It is a great job for someone who believes in their management ability.

IF MON does return, I would love to see a young up and coming manager be his number 2, possibly an ex MON signing such as Robins? Someone that MON can teach/mould so our transition to our next manager is smooth for when MON does finally take the Man U / England job in a couple years time.

MON is one of those managers who likes to have people he trusts and knows around him. For instance, were he to come, I'd put good money on him having John Robertson as his assistant and Steve Walford as first-team coach.

But I agree that Top should go and try and get him before doing anything else. If he says 'no thanks' then we carry on our search but if he says 'yes' then stop the search and wave a contract under his nose. O'Neill for me fills every criteria Top could have and he has the respect of the fans, he is a fabulous motivator and he is proven, not only in this league but in the Premier League as well.
