Hi my Toon friends good luck next season really hope you push on....

What's your opinion of Pardew me I was surprised how he did I did expect the worst
What's with Nolan and his contract talks stalling, and what's the situation with Baron is he off will you miss him if he is?
What comings and goings are expected?

Us Poshies had a great day at OT but no comes the test can Fergie Jnr keep us in the Championship for me 4th bottom will be a success

Thanks for the banter over the past two seasons on 606 really enjoyed it, your two visits to our place were the highlight of our last season in the Championship, especially the Carling Cup game when we gave your boys one bell of a beating lol seriously thanks for the memories was great seeing Charters rocking ....

Hi Fred, pleased OT turned out to be such a good day for you, you got what you deserved. Was a good season all round from what I saw of it, loads of goals and a new hero in CMS.

Here's hoping it'll be upwards and onwards for you.

Think our guys enjoyed Charters just as much as the regulars did. Pity you couldn't have got hold of the QEII though.

Alright Fred, are you over here for good then?

    Answers to your question:

Pardew - Still undecided and still not over Hughton if I'm honest. Pardew deserves time and he's starting to deserve respect HOWEVER a lot of that will come from a successful transfer window and a decent start to the season. He looks alright and seems a nice enough guy though, so as I said, I'm happy to give him time!

Nolan - Nobody knows, we've heard everything from 'contract is signed' to 'he's going to Everton'.
Barton - Again, nobody knows, again we've heard conflicting reports...

The two of them have been brilliant these past 2 years and add so much to the club off the pitch as well as to the team on it. The only real issue is their age and their contractual demands. IMO the club is being ruthless, thinking 'do we really want 32-34 year olds on wages too high to warrant a move elsewhere'. Its a tough one, its a gamble and I'll definitely be sad to see them in another shirt (if it comes to that) but they're safe in the knowledge that they'll always get a round of applause from the Toon army!

Comings and Goings - I think many of us are resigned to Enrique leaving (although still clinging to the slim hope he may stay) and pleased with the reported signing of Cabaye. If we can bring in the boys we've been linked to, we could in theory be challenging for European places. However, like I said, it'll all come down to who Pardew gets and how he manages them!

    Basically this

Well done for your season this season, there was a point where I thought it wasn't going to happen for you but you managed to pull through. good luck in the Championship, hopefully your manager will get a bit more patience from the board this time

I saw the final and I was mixed. Obviously love Peterborough, but also love Lee Clark, so couldn't decide who I wanted to win. You seemed to be the more professional of the two though. Took your chances and defended well. Well played

Fred!! Great to see you again mate.

All the best in the Championship, shame you couldn't keep CMS but hopefully you will find someone who can grab you some goals. Nile Ranger needs to move on, trouble maker kind of bit sure he could do it in the Championship with a run of games.

Bit gutting for us on the Barton and Nolan front, we will have to see what happens.

    <ok>

Lee Clarke was a true gent in defeat but got his tactics horribly wrong only playing 1 up front he showed he was fearful of our attack, gave us that extra bit of confidence allowed our defenders to grow in confidence, he played into our hands
Once we scored he tried to change it but by then his centre half's were running out of steam as a result we got a quick 2nd and the only way them lumbering tired defenders could get some respite from CMS's tireless running was hacking him down giving away lots of free kicks around there box
The third goal from McCann was a beauty Beckham would have been proud of

Not sure where I'll end up now 606 is gone so many clones sprung up many Poshies over at Extra time, whatever I'll keep an eye on my Toon friends
