According to the report, Caulker netted late on in the game but it was rightly given offside. More worryingly, Walker had to come off injured after a "heavy tackle" No word yet on how bad it is.
Did our generous multi billionaire owner go to the game from his tax dodge home in Bermuda ? Do Levy/ Lewis really care about investing in the team to compete with our rivals ? I think Lewis goes to 1 game a season if we are lucky. At least the mad Russian loves his club and watches nearly every game. I can't see Levy spending any real cash but we be in for a lot of top players , offering half the price. Get ready for another round of Dempsey,s. Siggy,s and Dembele's at best while our so called rivals get the cream.
Dembele was a great signing! He just spent most of the second half of the season with a recurring injury.
And yet we were only 3 points behind Chelsea and 1 behind Arsenal so not that big a gap Sidney. How many of our players would you swop with Arsenal?
True but still behind . From Arsenal I would jump at having Cazorla over Dembele, Giroud over Ade, Dempsey , (not great but a hell lot better), Poldoski over Siggy ( once again not great but better). These were there 3 main signings last year if we had them over that lot, playing with Lloris, Verts, I think we would have been more elegant and made the top 4.
Walcott for Lennon Monreal for BAE It depends on if its full strength against full strength but realistically Lloris, Vertonghen, Sandro & Bale are the only 4 nailed on for places in a Spurs/Arsenal mash-up IMHO. The rest are matters of personal opinion.
