Head coach feels City did enough to earn a result after eighth straight league loss. Johnson feels City deserved at least a point from Forest defeat Tight game decided by Osborn's stunning free kick in the 67th minute Head coach reveals O'Neil and Little both picked up first-half injuries Lee Johnson felt City did enough to deserve at least a point in defeat at Nottingham Forest. For the eighth successive Sky Bet Championship fixture, Johnson saw his side beaten by a single goal margin as Ben Osborn’s spectacular 67th-minute free kick decided a tight game in favour of the managerless hosts. City applied plenty of late pressure, but were unable to salvage a result and now sit just two points above the relegation places. “I think we did enough to at least take a point – maybe even win the game,” Johnson stated. “We had two or three good chances in the second half and a lot of applied pressure, but we’ve been undone by giving a poor foul away and a fantastic strike. “In the first half we weren’t sharp enough. Could you use the journey and the game on Tuesday as an excuse? Probably not. “I made two enforced substitutions at half-time. In the second half, if you take the goal out of it, the lads have given it a go. “I think our fans felt we were giving it a go to get that goal, but on the day we didn’t have the quality to finish. “We just have to take it on the chin, but we’ve got to do something and we’ve got to do something quickly.” Gary O’Neil and Mark Little were the men sacrificed at the interval – both due to injury. “Gary O’Neil has hurt his groin and thinks he will be out for a couple of weeks minimum,” Johnson explained. “Mark Little’s is a hamstring injury. “We don’t know how long he’ll be out but there aren’t too many options in that right-back berth now.” “We just have to take it on the chin, but we’ve got to do something and we’ve got to do something quickly.” Lee Johnson http://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/we-deserved-at-least-a-point-johnson-3530761.aspx

I must make a comment, this article came direct from our own official BCFC website, so there is no exageration by ghost authors, it is straight from the horses mouth, having been authenticated from the powers that be or suits at Bristol Sport, make of that what you want but I don't think they feel he is deluded.
Football, like life, is all ifs and buts and the choices people make help determine what happens. I am tired of the excuses
I was there and we definitely did not DESERVE a point. We actually got what we deserved. Football being football, we might have scraped s draw or even a win, if our rare attacks had succeeded, but Forest fans would have naturally been devastated because over 90 minutes we certainly would NOT have deserved it.
I think I probably believe BCFCR&W's assessment as opposed to LJ's.........the post match comments are complete sh#t.....probably like the performance. Still can't believe he is in charge as of this morning.
Please don't take this as meaning that Forest were any good - they weren't, but for 75% of the game (I'm being generous) we were second best to a very poor side. They were ****, but they wanted it more than we did for most of the game. The first half was so awful, the highlight for me was queuing backstage for a small bottle of Heineken at £3.80.
