    As fans of Nufc I think We deserve champions league football over other teams, we have been patient (Some of us) we got behind pardew all the players, and the club and we turned out in our drobes in the championship

    so who do you think we will get in our group, I reckon, Bate, Real Madrid and Juventus!!

    Oh dear, im as deluded as the next person but this cant be serious. IF, and thats a big IF, we miraculously achieve 4th then we still have to get through a qualifying round before we start talking about group stages. And I will refuse to accept 4th will even get us to the group stages until Chelsea are out of that cup

    Nobody deserves CL football, you earn the right.

    There are plenty of other teams in the league who have been just as patient as us, just take a look up the road at our neighbors and their yo yo years.

    Talking like we are owed it makes us sound like Liverpool supporters and no doubt the deluded tag will be back.

    IF we get it, it'll be because the team earned it

    Whoever gets enough points/goal difference to finish 4th are the ones who deserve it.

    It would be nice for us to get it of course, we do have a big, loyal fan base but if we dont get it and say Chelsea or Spurs do, then they will be the ones most deserving at the end of the day.

    We'd have to qualify for the group stages if we finished in fourth anyhow, and there are some very, very good teams in that round. Arsenal just about squeezed past Udinese this season, and everyone knows what happened when we were big favourites to beat Partizan and qualify.

    I admire your passion but no one deserves anything in football. it all has to be worked for.
    A bindipper mate I know maintains that Liverpool 'deserve' to be in the CL every year because of their past glories...
    We should never go down that route...

    I think the OP is saying that we, as fans, deserve to be rewarded for our support with a team that qualifies for the CL, rather than that the club deserves to be in the CL.

    This is slightly more defensible than the idea that any club deserves to be in the CL but still looks through the world with black and white lenses.
