We couldn't have scored in a brothel today.

    Today just wasn't our day,

    We came close many times,
    Hit the cross bar,
    Mucked up our penalty,
Had several well worked shots stopped by the frustrating Roy Carroll,
Had a ball cleared near the line with Carroll beaten.

But all in all a good game and worth the long trip north :emoticon-0148-yes:

I share your frustration. I probably agree with your 'sentiments' - but could I politely ask that you refrain from using such graphic language. I attend virtually ALL of our games ( home & away ) - and can appreciate that our performances ( & Taylor's tactics ) can easily reduce anyone to profane - but please not on THIS forum. Thank you for your anticipated consideration & understanding.

I certainly agree that we were a bit unlucky yesterday, but also frustrated that after a bright first 5 minutes we didn't really start playing (or trying to play) until County had scored their goal, which was conceded as a result of some shambolic defending.

If you only saw the last 20 minutes you'd truly believe that we were unlucky, but that was after Dack, and a bit later German, came on and added a bit of movement and urgency to the Gillingham game. With not long to go we actually had the astonishing sight of Antonio German on the half way line at a County corner..... Before that it was same old same old. Too little movement resulting in too many passes played into the air resulting in longer time to control the ball resulting in generally slower play or losing possession.

I can look forward to my next match being my 'home' match, which will mean that I will be able to indulge in a level of pre-match alcohol intake that will be of definite assistance to being able to bear watching, unless there is a significant re-think by Taylor in the way he wants the team to play away from home.

Our defense was a bit poor at times as well.
I can se us improving though.

I thought we were good on Saturday to be honest and as you say worth the trip.

Many an away game i drive back thinking why on earth am i doing this, but not Saturday. All i heard from the Notts fans as i was passing them on the way to my car was how lucky they were and how good Roy Carroll is. We were very unlucky and i expect us to be mod table at the end of the season.
