If this deal goes through AND the owners are the Saudi Royal Family a lot of fans (including those of Citeh) May start to hate our club very quickly. Would this bother you... hypothetically speaking (as there is no firm proof a deal is Close)?
Does anyone hate City's fans? I don't. Same with Chelsea. I hate the way money has affected the game so much, just as many fans do. But it's not going to be our fault. We're being rescued from drowning, ffs. Just because we might be being pulled from the waves by a yacht bigger than Abramovic's is nothing to do with us.
I know loads of mags who don’t like city as a club but always respect their fans given the gates they pulled back in the day. A lot hate Chelsea too, for the money reason. Personally I still stand by ny previous comments that money is ruining football and some cap/control needs to be introduced that works (ffp doesn’t).
I wouldn’t care really after 47 years of nowt although it’s probably what would happen. We would also get loads of “new” prawn sandwich glory hunting fans though possibly pushing up ticket prices. We would need a much bigger ground too
Not really affected us Tourists still go to Old Trafford and we’ve not picked up many glory hunters Think we have a hardcore of around 40,000 who go come what may and a few who pick and choose Our ticket prices haven’t altered a great deal over the last 10 years,my season card is £535 which is pretty cheap
I don't hate any clubs really. Even the Mackems its rivalry not hatred. I think hate is bit pathetic an emotion when it comes to football clubs. I hate what the game as become with the influx of money for sure though.
Same, we don't hate City, they're like having a younger brother constantly asking questions, 'What's it like to win this', 'what does a full stadium look like?', 'How comes your players don't beg on the radio to the fans to come and watch'... although eventually little brother will grow up and kick you in the nuts.
