Bad luck: Wright-Philip hit the post Mbia goes off injured one of our best players today Diakite goes off injured when he looks the main man going forward Hill hits the crossbar Our own faults: I like Taarbatt but he gave the ball away a lot today. He did this for the goal, however other players had the chance to sort it out, and Green wasn't very impressive by not keeping it out. We had two good chances the went to Wright-Philips and Park, could have done better, and we seem to miss these types of chances every week. So we can look at the bad luck, but we let a soft goal in, and should have again taken our chances. If we did we would have won and the table would have looked: Aston Villa 13 Southampton 12 Reading 9 QPR 8 Would have looked a lot better and we would all be thinking its a possibility.
I think Adel's poor performances now outweigh his contributions thus far this season. I keep reading he's our only chance to create something....if he's our go to man we're f***ed.
Hes been neutered by arry, he never tried anything special and always played the safe ball. I dont blame him for the goal, it was Traores stupid little chipped pass when he should have cleared it down the line.
Agree. I saw the fault as being traore's. We went through a spell in the first half of misplacing/playing stupid little passes in midfield when the ball needed to be hit long or gotten outta there. Taraabt was guilty of losing possession a fair few times, but he played ok and is all heart. Agree that his performance lacked some danger, not once did he drive toward goal and hit it from 20 yards. If he did that 5/6 times a game, I reckon he'd score in 2 out of every 3 games - a la west ham.
How come Boshingwa is keeping his place in the team? Every time he gets the ball b He looks to pass inside, never a run and cross. Hoilett was toilet today, why didnt Harry replace Diakite with Cisse and put Adel on the left and SWP on the right? BTW well done SWP much better today, unlucky not to score
He lost the ball a fair bit because he wasnt playing his natural game, however on at least 2 times he tracked back and won the ball back for us and thats all I want to see when a player makes a mistake.
Absolutely. Proof he gives a ****. A player like him will always make mistakes, seeing him fight back to regain possession thereafter almost makes it worthwhile anyway.
Good points. His decision making, finishing, passing and set pieces have been poor this year. His corner kicks have been diabolical. I'm not kidding here but I could deliver better corners than that. Its actually very easy to float in a corner and beat the first man yet Tarbs seems incapable of doing it. He's a quality Championship player but I'm still not convinced he can cut it at the top.
Got to argue that one. He's a class act playing in a largely poor team. At our recent lowest ebb (saints game), I couldn't help thinking that he'd be snapped up soon by a top club, and although I don't want him to go, I'd take a lot of pleasure in seeing him fulfill his promise. I think he's world class.
Bloody hell Woody! I can't see how you can say that when as of yet he's not done anything to deserve such acclaim. I just find it bizarre that this lad invites such praise without having produced owte. Fair play to him for playing okay this year but World class I'm afraid I can't agree with you there mate.
Diakite and M'bia were streets ahead of Adel today, real drive and passion. M'bia's response to us going one down was outstanding.
Not only could we have won but we should have won! It seems that the footballing fates have decided that, as far as QPR is concerned, if any luck is ever required then we are not to get it this season. The only option, therefore, is to train harder, play better and make sure that luck is not required and we win on merit alone. I think we are more likely to get relegated now than not BUT we, the fans, must not give up. The support yesterday was good and even great at times. This must continue at every home game. If the players 'gave up', we would rightly castigate them. Therefore, neither can we.
