Headteacher Tony Smith brought in the rule following complaints from parents about ‘short skirts’ and to make the uniform gender neutral for transgender students. ‘Another issue was that we have a small but increasing number of transgender students and therefore having the same uniform is important for them.’ Instead of enforcing a no short skirt policy or letting the "small but increasing" number of misfits wear whatever they wanted the school forces girls to wear trousers. This nailed it on the head nearly 40 years ago
And Grove continues his horrible campaign of posting kids pictures on Not606. How this beast remains unhindered on these pages is beyond me. I shall be reviewing my membership if this situation continues. Durty nonce.
Why does it bother you so much? I bet you're the sort of person that writes letters to newspapers to complain about stuff.
We're pandering to the minorities again. First it's "let the Irish in the pub" and look what we've become. Moral of the story? Don't let the Irish in the pub.
Most pubs would go bankrupt in a week without the Irish. Hence the preponderance of shamrocks, tricolours, leprechauns, and assorted guiness related crap festooned all over your bog standard battle cruiser - and not just on St Paddy's day.
What kind of ****ed up boozers do you frequent ffs!?! All pubs in Glasgow look like this: please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
Because an absolute tiny minority are dictating to everyone else. My daughter would be mortified to have to wear trousers, her and her friends like wearing skirts. Why should she and her friends be punished for this?
Yeah so the school is dictating... at the behest of transgenders unless you think the school are doing this off their own backs of course...
It's going to be funny when these so called trans kids actually realise they're not actually trans. Awkward
Because across the country there are kids in primary school who aren't getting along with others, maybe not a good looking girl or a ruffty tuffty boy, and they go home not knowing what the problem is. Then it dawns on them that perhaps they are unhappy because they'd rather be the other. By making them wear gender specific clothes schools are contributing to their distress to this sort of uniform policy is there to make them feel less self-conscious while they weigh up their options before going full out RuPaul. Let's be clear, taking the UK as a whole there are literally some kids affected this way. What's to say little Johnny would prefer to be little Jane and he actually wants to wear a skirt? By making it trousers only the school are potentially causing little Johnny mental anguish. I'd love to see the school get sued for not letting some misfit wear a skirt!!
