Garry Kenneth has responded to John Ward's appointment as Bristol Rovers boss by insisting the club should still be aiming for a play-off place this season. http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/Garr...overs-season/story-17640043-detail/story.html I want what he's been smoking
Good luck with that one - there are actually fans at GFC who have doubts about our play off aspirations despite our 'healthy' position.
To get to the playoffs a team needs an average of one and a half points per game over the season. So somewhere around 69 points. Rovers have 18 points from 22 games. So with 24 games to go, they need 51 points. The calculation of the four possibilities follows.......... W 17 - D 0 - L 7 = 51 POINTS W 16 - D 3 - L 5 = 51 POINTS W 15 - D 6 - L 3 = 51 POINTS W 14 - D 9 - L 0 = 51 POINTS It is therefore mathematically possible. But you would need to be some sort of super optimist to put any money on it!!
Hmmm Kenneth seems to of reacted to the appointment of Ward its a positive comment but a very long shot
good post, it is possible but i be lucky to get 51 points full stop including the 18 we currently have
