A combo of having some good players and without the strain of the Europa league will see you do better in the league.

 

To be fair there is still a couple of weeks left. I think we can get mid table to just under if we went as we are. If we went and got a striker and a winger who were half decent before September 2nd, then we might be able to get mid table or just above. We're not all that bad man.

 

I see Fulham have taken Bent on a season long lone. We are the only team not strengthening for the coming season. I have a feeling than we are going to sell Cabaye and only that money will be given for transfer funds. Oh for the day the fat controller decides he wants Rangers more than us.

Maybe some cover at right back. In an ideal world you'd replace Willo but we have 3 quality centre backs.

 

I can't believe when we look to the bench in the City game the only offensive option will be Shola. It ****ing sickens me quite frankly. If Cisse picks up an injury bad times lie ahead.

 

This is the only fear I have. I don't care how much anyone hates Pards, they simply must sympathise with Shola being his game changer. Why let Campbell out on loan before we have signed someone?

 

I'm sorry guys but I just can't help but be positive about the coming campaign! Last window we bought sissoko who we all can agree is ridiculously talented, debuchy who is a proven international, gouff who has the ability to be a game changer and mym who also has great potential. These guys have had half a season to prove themselves which isn't very long (remember colo's first campaign) but if they settle quick this season we are MILES better off! We sold perch ( more game time for Anita, cant see a problem there)and have added remy + youngsters trying to step up. If papiss fires early doors and we keep benny fit, who's to say we can't have another great season! I will admit that these are all ifs and buts and it could just as easily go tits up but let's look up rather than down and get behind the boys. bring on Monday! HTL

We aren't alone. Arsenal, Manchester utd, Everton haven't brought in anywhere near as many this year. It's a disgrace we haven't strengthened up front since January, mind.

 

Of course it could be a case of keeping our cards close to our chest and waiting till the last moment to buy somebody so that another club don't come in and outbid us.

 

It would be surprising to find that Kinnear could keep quiet about anything.

 

I dislike Pards with a passion but seriously I have to feel sorry for him. He's being put in the fire line by that idiot who owns the club. Mike Ashley is in my lifetime, the worst thing to happen to Newcastle United. We have only gone backwards since the day he bought the club. He is not interested in success, only profit. He's running the club like any other non-football business. It's all profit margins. I am quite frankly sick of this now.

 

Impossible to feel sorry for Pardew given how lucky the guy is to still have a job. But it's not in the interests of the club to have not invested so yet again Ashley comes out of this looking just plain stupid.

Well the transfer 'window' is just a stupid concept. There was nothing wrong with the old system of being able to buy a player whenever you wanted. Not that we would anyways mind.
