Just thought I'd say how much better the atmosphere was today. No moans and groans and positive support in abundance throughout the match. The Kingsland and Northam hardly stopped singing and it clearly rubbed off on the players. They eased the nerves by scoring early and we got behind them.

Nigel and the squad obviously relished the prospect of a 3pm Saturday KO where they knew the attendance would be higher. We didn't let them down in turnout and noise. Seven games left to go - let's keep it up and keep it positive!!

    Up the Saints!

I wouldn't say there was no moans and groans, as I heard a far bit in the 2nd half but other than that i agree!

Yeah. Certainly in the Chapel there was a brief period in the 2nd half when a few people were just starting to turn negative. Thankfully a rendition of OWTS, followed quickly by a round of applause for Sharp as he came off, quickly put an end to it.

Burnley were always going to come out firing in the 2nd half, especially with a double-substitution, so I had no problem with us dropping a little deeper in order to repel it. It shouldn't have led to negative responses.

I think after Tuesday everyone realised that it was just the league left and that we should roar the team on!

Also did anyone notice that everyone was predicting us to win comfortably and come back with a bang? <ok>

A mate of mine put £100 on us to win today (idiot!) but it paid off. I didn't speak to anyone who didn't think we were going to win. I think we hit rock-bottom at Leicester but an improved performance against Cardiff and good spells against Millwall and Birmingham have proved that we're on the up. An almost injury free squad with plenty of confidence on show, we're back! If the 3pm KO is a factor - four of our remaining seven games KO at this time!

This is the main reason why the crowd were good today. We have a good following home and away but like it or not we respond to the team's performance more than inspiring them in the first place.
