Yes,we are in a messy relegation battle, but I believe that we can get out of this mess, starting with a win against Norwich. They won't be looking forward to coming here as we stuffed them last season. We have got to be positive tomorrow and try to get at Norwich from the start. Our home support will lift the team, and I can only see one result..a home win!I hope that we play two up-front and go for it.

    Why brave bonny lad?
We have a better team than them, plus it's about time we started to play well for 90 minutes.

As that other famous geordie said.

Money for nothing and the chicks for free!

As someone who has never won a bet, I always think people who wager large stakes are brave. Regardless of the teams playing. It could be Barcelona vs Morecambe and I would still say that stake on a Barca win is brave <laugh>

May not be bursting with confidence mate.
    But I am quietly confident.
Fletcher is due a screamer from outside the box. :p

This is brave talk have you been watching the same team as me!?!? Norwich will be looking to beat us as that virtually guarantees them safety. It will be a really tough game and I am hoping for a win. Don't care if we squeak it.

As a former gambler. I have to say Sunderland were so unlucky for me it wasn't true.Got to the point where I wouldn't back them if they were 5-0 up in injury time.I wish you well.

That ugly twat never got his chicks for free, surely that's where the money come in? he'd struggle to pull down the big market.

Holy ****. £500 way back in1973 was a substantial amount of beer tokens.

My mam and dad bought their bungalow for £3000 in 71.

I kmew a guy that had two quid on us in 73 before the third round. He took 250/1.

The bookie offered to buy the bet back after the semi final , but he wouldn't sell.

500 quid bought a hell of a lot of beer back then.
