Sven is the problem, I'm afraid. His insistance in sticking with his under-performing favourites has exposed him badly; he won't get us promoted this or any other season, and I hope Top has the balls to replace him.

Agree, to many people are afraid to say so...'can't say that as he is Sven Gorn Erikson'...well that is rubbish and so are his decisions, signings, tactics and formations. We may as well start again as we hardly have a team as most of them are on loan!

He is a liability and we are going nowhere under him, this season or next

You all need to get a grip. We were rock bottom when he took over and he took is very close to the playoffs.

The team is patched up with loans and everyone knows that you cant build a team with them.

Sven IS a world class manager and it would have been a miracle had we got promoted. He got very near to achieving that miracle.

You can't expect him to have built a premier league team pin just over half a year.

Lay off him and our team they did very well to get to where they have.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

So then why did he do it?

For the last time: He did not have to gamble by getting a bunch of loans. How many has he brought in this season? Way too many. He could have brought in more permanents. But he didn't have an eye for a gem in this league. Only players who were good in the top flight once.

We have way too many reputations and not enough players willing to build their own reputations.

Yes, had we got promoted it would have been near a miracle. But we are quite a long way off that standard. We are not close just because we are in the top half. We looked pretty close at one point - but the team we have now is the one Sven thought was good enough. And it isn't, not nearly. How can you possibly think we are close after today? After the Norwich game? After our form the last 2 months?

Nowhere near good enough. Lets build for next season, I hope Sven learns soon because he's still making the same mistakes.

What was he meant to do? He couldn't keep the likes of nguessan could he.

You need the summer to build a team and I won't judge him until then.

Fair enough. I don't want to judge him yet either.

He did need to replace N'Guessan and Neilson true, but not necessarily Hobbs, Berner and Dyer. And he didn't need to bring Bruma, Van Aanholt, Ricardo and Kirkland in - they've not been good enough.

He shipped out Hobbs and Fryatt, who might well be instrumental in taking Hull City into the play-off's.

He signed big wage players like Yakubu and Vassell to replace better players you already had.

In short, he's a ****ing idiot.

    In my humble opinion. :emoticon-0105-wink:

In my humble opinion your humble opinion is wrong. Last time i checked LCFC have two players in the PFA Championship team of the year - one of which is Kyle Naighton: and who brought him in?
I also dont think any championship team would have rejected the opportunity to take Yakubu because on paper he is a proven goal scorer at this level and Vassell brings experience. Yes Vassell has been lack lustre at times but you cant question why Sven took them on. Fryatt could not play under Svens system so it was fair for him to go back under Nigels wing and Hobbs is very much a traditional defender and Sven likes his back 4 to attack (which isnt a bad things as Naughton made PFA Championship team of the year).

I for one am over the moon that we have Sven at the helm and cant wait until the summer transfer market when he can mould the full starting 11 he wants from scratch :)

Sven had his hands tied when he came here with the transfer window shut. No one in this league would turned down signing people like Kyle Naughton, Curtis Davies, Chris Kirkland, Yakubu, Roman Bednar, Patrick Van Aanholt. They on paper are all premiership class. Some have showed why ( Davies and Naughton). Some of shown glimpes (Yak and Van Aanholt) and some shown **** all (Bednar and Kirkland).

If this was football manager we would be signing the same players as Sven. People need to look at the table when he took over. I believe we was 24th and Sven took us as high as 7th and gave us a decent season and value for money with our season tickets. If by christmas we arent near the top then i will admit Sven failed but up until now he has had to play catch up and that has put players off signing

I think that once he has the summer transfer window open, things will only get better, hopefully the ambition of the club and the infuence of the manager will get Naughton on board full-time.

Tbh, i think its our loan signings that are letting the team down, i have no doubt that next year will be a very interesting season.

    Less loanees, more signees ;)

I agree with an earlier post, most of you need to pull yourself together and live in the real world, did any of you seriously think that Sven or any other manager in that respect could have built a team to gel after such a shambles of the first 9 games under Sousa, what was it 4 points from 36 = not a cat in hells chance. To be where we are is a fantastic effort in a divison that is more competitive than the prem and so so unpredictable, the only consistent side in the division are QPR and rightly so.

Well done to Sven and the team we will surely be a force to be reckoned with next season
