I cannot see how we can stay up this season, bar some HEAVY financial investment.

Younes Kaboul was exactly the signing we didn't need, a defender that can't defend. Yes he may have strength and pace, but the guy is a liability, and I said that as soon as we signed him. People were adamant he was more reliable than brown <laugh> I'd rather have brown with one leg.

We have an ageing Defoe up front, alongside piss head fletcher and lens (who may still come good)

We have catts, Larson and mvilla in midfield, none of which would even know what an assist was, never mind provide one .

And then there's the defence (if you can call it that) pva and jones who think they are wingers and forget that they are there to defend. With kaboul and Coates who are lost without someone to guide them, they CANNOT keep playing together.

We need a centre half in, a left back, a centre midfield who can create, and 2 new strikers IMO, and that might keep us up (depending what quality of player we bring in)

I might get attacked for venting my anger on here, but there is nothing to be optimistic about in our side. The likes of stoke can attract good players, whilst we look like we would struggle to attract a Sunday league player.

I'm sick of this now, since Bruce left, we've signed nothing but ****. Cest has been spot on with his threads building up to the season, and was slaughtered by the "optimists" for pointing out the obvious wrongdoings going on at our club.

The first 2 games of this season haven't just been terrible performances, they've been extremely embarrassing for the whole football club, especially on our loyal fans, who have deserved so much more in recent years.

Who are these optimists and happy clappers people keep talking about?

I didn't say happy clappers. But the self proclaimed optimists who shoot down people who vent their anger at the terrible way this club is being run.

The people who think players like kaboul and mattews can take this football club forward.

The people who don't realise that our transfer recruitment so far this summer has been extremely poor.

The people who stick out in my mind are the likes of smug and bri, who think because they don't complain about the dire straights our club is in, makes them a better supporter. And the likes of cest are bad supporters because they point out the obvious flaws (but obviously not obvious to them).

Can't speak for Smug and normally would never speak for Bri either, on this occasion with him not being here, I will do so.

He isn't an optimist, Bri has clearly stated we are ****e at the moment, that is something he doesn't deny. He also believes we are going to struggle all season. All Bri is trying to do is what I was attempting yesterday and that is to give a balanced view on things, doesn't make him an optimist at all. He's just level headed and not a huffy little twat who throws his toys out the pram like a load of posters on here when we haven't showered them with signings or on the back of two piss poor performances. He has also clearly stated that he will be as vocally disgusted on here as much as anybody else but he will give the club until the transfer window shuts before he does so. I don't think that's to much to ask personally.

You are a WUM and a knob anyways, and also to ****ing thick to understand the difference between somebody showing signs of being level headed and optimistic.

Just watched Arsenal, and how I wish we could play like that. I bet they could pass the ball blind folded and still find each other. Where do we start though ? defence it was non existent yesterday, midfielders cannot move together forward, and string 3 passes together, and 1 shot on goal I think.

"We are the worst team in the league"

    What was your first clue?

I'm honestly still just numb from yesterday.

I'm an optimist - eternally optimistic about Sunderland - but read all of my posts after the game at the weekend - only bit of optimism is Duncan Watmore!

Defoe had 2 good opportunities to open the scoring and he didn;t even shoot! One from around 16 yards he tried to thread a pass to fletcher who was 4 yards offside - His control was awful. his possession was awful! Connor Wickham would've got it with both barrels from everyone had he played that badly for us! Not good enough - and, according to my mate who was out on Saturday night in a pub where Defoe was, he's said he's off to london to sign for someone else this week - good riddance if it's true!

Blaming Kaboul for anything is a joke from Saturday - when you are the only person defending and have 3 people of the quality that played alongside him at the weekend what would you do? Without him I reckon it would've been more! His distribution was poor - but defensively he was the best we had comfortably - Van Aanholt and Coates were both rubbish as was Jones - but Van Aanholt stood out for me like a sore thumb - it also stood out for Norwich as it took them less than 10 minutes to figure out that he was struggling and they put everything down there after that!

Kaboul and O'Shea central defence next week or it's another horror show! No leader at the back

Love it mate, definitely not over for us by any means it,s just that at the moment we are awful. Am full of hope as ever but feel that this time we,re the real relegation deal the way we are currently, scraped by just treading water, time has moved on and players have aged without us looking like improving, massive spend needed, but don,t think we will, last couple of 10 million pounders have been patchy to say the least

You don't know what I think because you're too thick to understand it.

People like you and Cest will always crawl out from under your stones whenever you think you can score a few points.

Always been the same on these forums.

You've already had to skulk off because you were humiliated, under one username, and are obviously just a sad wum who jumps on the Cest bandwagon as wums always do ......... he collects them like some people collect programmes <laugh>

The likes of me and cest spotted these issues before we had even played a game. It's not about scoring points, but there must be clearly something wrong at safc if the fans are spotting the bad signings before we've even kicked a ball.

I'm not here to point score. Read Micky grays analysis on us, he's absolutely spot on, is he point scoring too? No, he's just fustrated like everybody else.

The biggest Sunderland optimist would know we have problems, it doesn't take this mug or Cest to let us into the secret.

But if they had their way this place would be a total waste of time.

Since Cest showed his miserable face again, with his inevitable dreary whining, I've lost a bit of interest in the forum.

They always cover their tracks, when we do well, by trotting out the tired old shyte,

"Oh no, please don't bring up what I said about us losing the derby/failing to get to Wembley/being relegated. No one's more pleased than me to be proved wrong so let's all have a big group hig and celebrate because we're all Sunderland brothers at heart."

    Hypocritical tossers imo.

I also would give JOS and Kaboul a chance against the Swans, we need to move PVA further forward and possibly play a cautious formation behind a front three of with PVA, Lens and Watmore and use their pace on the counter.

I suggest you watch Monday night Football and Gary Neville's assassination of Kaboul. Gary Neville was spot on by the way on how bad Kaboul was.
