If we manage to see out the game and get the 3points then great but why the hell are we making it hard for ourselves?

I blame a number of things from tactics to team selection to the ability of the players.

MoN always has always had 13 or 14 players that he really relies on but he really needs to change it, these are a poor side and I don't care that we are playing them at there place we should be set up to get at them and set the tone.

The likes of Cuellar, O'Shea, Larsson are just average!

MoN needs to shape up, can't he really see what all the fans can see, man needs to move with the times

Well we've won away from home with a clean sheet. That ones for all the doubters & critics, & more importantly the travelling support.

3 points and a clean sheet is a positive. Sometimes a dirty win is a good win. However our failings were there to see again.

Down to the players not the management.
He doesn't tell them to take two touches when one would do.
And I'm certain he isn't telling them to misplace passes.

So long as we use colback, we have a relegation quality central midfield. I hope we upgrade in January. That said, I ain't looking a gift horse in the mouth here - a win's a win.

Pleases for the lads and lasses who travelled down. Should make it a better journey home in these sh*t conditions.

Probably says more about Southampton than us. Luckily there are 3 poor teams this year.

I'm losing faith in Marty as he won't play Wickham when the lad has earned his chance. That said I'll stick with him as we have another transfer window coming up. It would be harsh to sack a man who hadn't had the chance to build his own team.

I think people forget how we'll we've played recently. We have played far far better than that and been beaten a number of times. A good team plays badly and wins us what they say, and while we had very little going forward from centre mid, defensively I though O'Shea and Cuellar were rock solid. O'Shea was immense I though. Mug again excellent but relatively untroubled because of how well the defence played. Early in the season we were playing badly and drawing or losing - but we were also having maybe 1 shot per game. We had 16 according to BBC today including 10 on target and that to me is a pretty good return on a crap attacking display.

Well I'm happy - wins against Southampton and Reading are exactly what we needed/expected and it gives me hope that we have enough already to keep out of relegation trouble. If we can bring in some decent names in January we should improve further.

i can definitely see an improvement in the last few games, we are harder to break down at the back, now we only need the midfield to start producing, i would like to see Wickham given more games though.
