All the **** they gave us about Marty. I bet they wish they had him now http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newc...960&siteid=72703-name_page.html#ixzz2IWt6pj4k LESS than 2% of Chronicle readers want bookies’ favourite Alan Pardew as Newcastle United’s new manager, with Martin O’Neill top in our online poll. More than 1,000 people logged on to chroniclelive.co.uk to have their say on who the Toon’s next boss should be. Given a choice between O’Neill, Martin Jol, Alan Shearer, Alan Curbishley, Alan Pardew or an alternative candidate, Pardew had just 15 supporters. Only Curbishley – with 14 – got less. Former Celtic and Aston Villa boss O’Neill was the clear favourite, polling 42.3% of the votes, but the boyhood Sunderland supporter is not thought to be a candidate for the job. The Ulsterman quit Aston Villa in August because of a lack of transfer funds. He is likely to have much less spending power at St James’ Park, and is not thought to be interested in the position. Martin Jol, also out of the running, polled 32.8% of the votes. Alan Shearer was third with 7.8%. The 14.4% who voted “other” were given the chance to say who, and Hughton was by far the most popular choice – with more than three times as many votes as Pardew. Interesting. The same Chronic readers were quick enough to slag MON off when we got him. Surprising the wonderful She-ra didn`t get more support. A lot of mags didn`t like the treatment of Hughton and realised very quickly that Pardew is and always was in Ashleys pocket. tbf they did give him chance but they`re turning on him big style now. A few more bad results and the pressure will really be on. One can but hope.
LOL, good find this like, you should post this on their board and see what the numptys have to say about it!
We should all go and vote Pardew in on their board http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/191346-The-All-new-Do-you-want-Pardew-in-or-out-Thread
This find is almost as awesome as Le Fondre's second yesterday. We should sign him, by the way, rather than Graham, he's a game changer.
I suggest that this thread takes a bump until one of the mags comes over to admit that we have got what they wanted!
Just been looking at the table & with two thirds of the season gone we are only 6 points behind teams like Liverpool & Arsenal. Granted, they might not be the force they used to be but they are still massive clubs which are pretty much odds on to be in Europe every season. Would have taken that at this stage before the season kicked off & with Arsenal to come in 3 games time with a couple of good results before hand we could be in a surprising position in a few weeks time. MON's doing a grand job to me & when he manages to get HIS own squad together (i.e not Bruce's left overs) we should be looking at sustained top half positioning all the time. Were lucky to have a good owner & manager & would I put a pound to a penny bet on that every single mag would swap those two for the couple of daft twats they have running the club at the minute.
